bumping for the newbiesBSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0

Funnily enough I watched an old "pimp my ride UK" last night with my DD - (don't ask she loves it)!!
Bez from Happy Monday's had his ride pimped not long after he won Big Brother & £50k not long after his bankruptcy a few years back.
Anyway, the show put a "famous" 42" plasma in the back of his car as a finishing touch. I thought it was ironic at the time and after reading this thread have now discovered that he's been made bankrupt for the 2nd time this year - Now that is irony with a 42" plasma in tow.0 -
Does anyone remember that dire group in the 80's called Five Star???? Didn't they all go bankrupt too???? I vaguely remember it being splashed all over the news!!!!0

Bumping for those that haven't seen this thread yet. Hopefully this will give some hope that it can happen to any one.
Alsp adding Kerry Katona to the list.Namaste DeeDee x0 -
Also adding Kerry Katona to the list.
I do genuinely feel for Kerry today - apparently she had reduced her tax debt from £320k to £82k (don't have the actual figures so please don't castigate me if I'm out by a few k) yet HMRC insisted that the bankruptcy went ahead.
Apparently the registrar/judge offered Kerry a further one hour to raise the £82k.
HMRC is, indeed, a strange animal.I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

It has made me smile which was highly needed tonight, so thank you for the bumping being done, note I said BUMPING!
Some names I was aware of, and yes 5 Star did go BR and I have a CD of theres somewhere, took my elder kids years and years ago to see them at Wembley, lasting memory, Colgate were sponsers and giving away tubes of toothpaste daughter then around 5 (now 27) had a bag load!
It kinda proves there are a lot more celebs out there gone BR than we even think, who would have thought people like Rembrant, Mozart, Ford and Walt Disney would be on the list. Some Days are Diamonds Some Days are Stones,Sometimes the hard times won't leave meBSC 162:beer:Banktupt 22 Oct 2008 at 10am!0
