Id love to be a fly on the wall at Bez's OR interview- cant imagine it somehow.0

Bez wouldn't be able to sit still - he'd be bobbing about all over the place, sunglasses on his head, struggling not to swear & saying 'man' every few words. He'd have had to sit on his hands as well, in case he started doing "air drum" on the table.
The interview I'd dread would involve me sitting in close proximity to Shane McGowan's mouth. :eek:BSC #53 - "Never mistake activity for achievement."

Jacques Offenbach - the man who wrote the can-can (Orpheus in the Underworld). Went bankrupt after one of his dozens of comic operas flopped, taking a theatre he was managing with it. Restored his riches by touring America as part of the 1876 centenary celebrations. Wrote a very droll account of his travels and made some money out of that too.0

Brilliant thread!
So basically, all the worlds most sucessful businessmen/women have been made bankrupt at some point......blimey, does that mean that the BCS's on here are gonna be really sucessful at a later date?? I really hope so.
Wasnt Will Smith declared BR some years ago?? I could be wrong, but I'm sure I heard him in an interview saying how he spent all the money from Fresh Prince and had nothing left for a while.I also remember the words of my friends, but I would rather have enemies than friends like youwould like to make it known that ZubeZubes avvy is a DHN, she's not dancing

Gary Webster as mentioned previously is married to Wendy Turner, sister of Anthea. Anthea is married to Grant Bovey who runs Imagine Homes, a property company that sells buy to let properties with big guarantees of rental income after purchase. Advertises many developments in London. There have been a few pokes from journos about whether the company is doing OK which have been brushed off. They (Anthea and Grant) have recently been in the papers for canceling their charity party that costs a million or so as most of their guests were normally very generous but would be a bit strapped due to the credit crunch.
At the time of Gary Webster and Wendy Turner's impending BR which was featured in one of the papers Wendy Turner mentioned that if Anthea had had 100K (around that figure) she would surely have lent it to them so they didn't lose their home (2 kids as well), but she didn't. Nice sister methinks.0 -
I've just visited the writers museum in Edinburgh and apparently Sir Walter Scott was also declared bankrupt!0
