Sorry I need to disagree I have only started using Asda with the last couple of glitches but have to say they have been uneerringly polite with my purchases (3 in a row) and have been fine with the APGs when presented. I have been prepared for a trouting by looking on here (and from people's expereince with the Tesco DTD days) but that has not hapeened. I had a 2 minute wait for a supervisor to Ok an APG over £10 (but uner £15). The SA has always concentrated on me the customer and given me their full attention. This is Asda in Killngb*ck Leeds. Much better than some competitors SAs who carry out conversations with colleagues and only grunt at you.
I think it depends on the store and the Manager - it seems like the SAs in deebees store had a 'feeding frenzy' without a SM to reign them in. Some Managers I have heard are like little hitlers - I think flash mobbing for these known stores sounds great as despite head office intervention some are still having their moment .... but please its not all.0 -

Just be careful in your store. I've had these lovely nice staff before who can suddenly turn all nasty at the drop of a hat.
This has happened to me quite a lot. Start off really nice, chatty and friendly then they see the APG and suddenly supervisors, deputy managers and security are called. The SA then says I am just doing my job and all the others support the SA:mad:You can't live a perfect day without doing something for someone who will never be able to repay you. ~John Wooden 154/06/2700 -

There are some folks who are re-creating APG's with software programmes, it's because of those, SA's or CS's are questioning if they are real.
I have even put comments in Sada's daily log book asking for them to be Collegue of the month.
Totally agree with Chandlerscroft.
And I too have said how helpful and pleasant the staff are.My husband says he will leave me if I don't stop shopping......... God I will miss that man.0 -
Oh dear,It's not funny but its the sort of thing MrLala would do;)
Envelope has just arrived from KC, so tillsplits promptly put in and back out in the post to them;)Is it wrong that I'm excited about getting my KC coupons from them:o
Big batch of invoicing done, so bit of H&S to do and then I'm finished for the day:T
I was very :mad::mad: when I got in that I had not even had a chance of getting code, he totally did not understand and muttered if it was that important he would just give me the tenner.
Gave up trying to explain I wanted it for a cheap ticket for DD2 if she wanted to come home for weekend or for us for IDH. Oh well at least I can smile about it today and I did get almost free chocolates the other night. As the saying goes you win some you lose some.0 -
chandlerscroft wrote: »At CS there is a log book where you can complain, praise or suggest to the store management team.
I use it regularly, mainly thanking SA's for being helpful and polite, over and above the norm.
In Mr T's it's slightely different they use the log book to record DTD's, I'm always in there :rotfl:.
Sometimes I would like to write must try harder in that book.:rotfl:The person who never makes a mistake never learns anything.0 -

If I lived near you I would come to the store with you so you could use your voucher.
Even better idea is we organise a flash mob of 10 people (or more) all going through the checkouts with large apg's all at the same time at this particular nasty store & give them some grief back - I would love to see them try to frogmarch 10 people simultaniously.
By the way - I am serious - would anyone local to deebee be up for this - how they have treated her has made me really
I would be up for it ,i am near bl...pl.
interesting what will happen to me later as I have a £14 -60 to kill.Any funny business and I will have H/O number visible.0 -
Thought I would share this with you today now I have calmed down about it.
Left Mr Tinyshoes in charge of getting a RSH code yesterday as 2nd batch were being released while I was taking mum to the hairdressers.
Anyway I got the page up on the laptop where the red writing was that said a link would appear there when they were available. Even pointed to where the red writing was on the screen. Told him to keep refreshing the page until link came up and put my email, postcode and the other security words in. Well he phoned me up just gone 3pm and said it is only asking for your email and I have pressed get it. I thought it was a bit strange how easy it was, had a feeling he had not got it right.
When I got home he had only signed me up for Martins Weekly Emails!!! as of course refreshing had taken him back to the top of the page and he just saw the space to input my email.:mad::mad:
Annoying for you but very funny :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
It's deffo the kind of think my DH would do. Then get all p'd off at me for bein g annoyed about. 'I did my best' he would say. 'It's not my fault' :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:I'll have some cheese please, bob.0 -

How can you have a pleasant trouting ?
I don't call it a trouting if my APG is questioned politely and has to be authorised by a supervisor.
I call it a trouting when the SA or supervisor is extremely rude and tries to humiliate you when you use your APG.
Most of mine were under £10 but I got a trouting on one for £10.03
If you have never experienced this you are extremely fortunate with your local stores.0 -
Right I'm off to do some real life stuff, not done very well with that this week.
If anything big comes up can somebody give me a shout please.
Oh forgot the RTC Oaktree stuff I saw at the superstore was also RTC in my extra last night. Looks like it might be the whole of the range as chicken soup 10p mentioned in a post on grabbit sorry can't remeber which thread. Might have been "mega reductions"0 -
Deebee I do hope you contact Head Office - I know you feel worried about getting upset again but they should not be left off the hook.
I wonder if there is another possiblity ...could you call HO but warn them that you are worried that you wil get upset and then not be able to be heard clearly but that you have written it down and could you email this to the person you are talking to and could they call you back after they have read it to decide the next course of action? If they suggest the generic email complaints address say you need to get it sorted today as you are so upset and traumatized by what has happened you cannot wait. (looking at a few posts here a number have had no reply from that option so try and avoid it).
If they won't try and use your script and if you get upset so be it .. they may then either suggest you do email after all or realise the enormity of what has happened and stick with it to get to the bottom of it. Tell them how you feel about your outstanding APG (maybe they will giftcard it and send to you - as they can check its validity at their end.
Any how I am so sad this has happened to you and hope it gets sorted. HTH0
