  • So are Airtricity now cheaper than Budget for key-pad electricity?
I thought Budgets rate was lower than 14.81p?
  • Why has the Budget rate jumped up from 14.07p to 14.81p?

Dunno, they have'nt said & first I knew was the text to my mobile.Airtricity are now 13.05 iirc.
  • Did NI Power increase their rate again causing Budget to put theirs back up again? If not its so sneaky.
Anyone know what Budgets tariff was before they put it down to 14.07p?

It was 14.81p before it went down so they have just stuck it back up again to the same amount.

Airtricity is beginning to look more inviting.....:)
  • Ok i'm beginning to get a very bad feeling about Budget.
When they came on the market they told customers they would be at least 13% cheaper than NI POWER for key-pad tariffs.

    Ok by my calculations:
    NI Power pre- 1 Oct 2012 17.37p
    Budget 14.81p approx 14.7% cheaper

    then 1 Oct :

NI Power 14.93p reduced by 14%
Budget respond by reducing 14.07p approx 5% cheaper

NOW Budget being sneaky so-and-so's have put their tariff up to 14.81p so they are a fantastic 0.9% cheaper than NI Power.

Do Budget think their customers are stupid or something?!
  • And another sneaky thing- when you look at the Budget website keypad tariff comparison it suggests NI Power charge 15.35p at present for keypad units....BUT NI Power site clearly shows that their keypad customers get a 2.5% discount on the home energy standard rate so price is 14.93p.
So Budgets website makes out you are getting bigger discount than you are!
  • Funny when u come on a forum site and ur getting slaughtered by the 1 of the other members. Though this was meant to be a friendly site.
  • The fact of the matter is anyone who is budget or power I would ask them why? Powernis rate is 14.925, budgets is now 14.81 and Airtricity is 13.4. I'm not a mathematical genius but I know what one anyone with any sense will be on. Unless there is something I'm missing??

And if you look at the figures on page 1 & todays figures,Budget appear to have LOWERED the bill pay tarrif even further.
