Maybe you should have disabilities like many of the ladies here or have had children with cerebral palsy or Type 1 diabetes, and other physical disabilities (ME, brain injuries, heart defects, scoliosis etc) then you could spend the DLA on little luxuries after spending the majority on equipment and boots and steps and bath supports and wheelchairs and specialist beds etc to make their lives more comfortable as well as inject them 5+ times a day, go to at least 3 appointments (with 14 different therapists in total) a week, monitor their every move and everything they eat, put them through surgery time after time, spend 2 hours doing physio which causes them to be in pain, every day and have them dosed on pain medication every single day. Try having your little one crying at you because they have to do their exercises or face being unable to walk knowing those exercises cause them more pain than they are already in.
Personally, I would rather have healthy children and not have to do any of those things... each to their own!
In your shoes I would be thankful for what you have.. for my own health and my childrens health so we could have the luxury of work and holidays and no time off school or in hospital or having to be pinned down for blood tests and subject to xrays and MRI's. I can only dream of a day with no physio! Anight with no blood tests, to go to bed and hope to all deities that my son wakes up in the morning.

that doesn't give you the right to make sweeping assumptions about other peoples lives.. if you have nothing nice to say, say nothing.. Did your wise old nan not teach you that one?
Let's hope your good health is continued..LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

Aww, bless you JennyJewell. My little Penny took her journey to the Summerlands back in 2002; but there's never a day when I don't miss her. She got me through some pretty bad times, and was always there for me. Tbh, she was the sister I never had, iyswim; never mind she had four legs and fur.:o I hope we'll see a piccy of Leo and Tizer in due course.;)
We're nearly caught up with ourselves; just the weekly check of the car to do (that's Mr LW's province, though I have got him to show me what to check), and a quick check of what we laughingly call the greenhouse, then Mr LW will do this week's ironing.:A I'd do it, but I can only iron left-handed, and I can't move my left shoulder without screaming in pain, today:( and I don't want to take any more morphine if I can avoid it.
I did make potato and pasta soup for our lunch, and a quiche for tomorrow (getting ahead of myself);) and I've put the BM on as we're out of HM bread, and done a veritable mountain of washing up, so I haven't been idle.:D
Pix you're doing well! Keep up the good work.;)If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
