Pretty Perfect, Twist and Out, Nail Polish Remover - WBA, so good for a pound! Not great on glitter polish (but nothing ever is haha)
A good way to remove glitter polish is to soak a cotton pad in remover press onto your nail and then wrap the nail in tin foil. Leave for a minute then when you remove foil and pad the polish should come clean off. Voila xxindiepanda wrote: »There was a nice make up kit in benefit in boots in coral colours - eye shadow, blush lip gloss etc. But when I thought about it, I have a nice bobby brown one with similar eye shadows and glosses, and separate blushes that are a similar colour. So I replaced it on the shelf and left.
It's dangerous to look at the Benefit counters at this time of year as the Christmassey gifts start appearing. I know the kit you mean as Emma bought the Dandelion version when we were away. Well done in your resolve though.kiplingmonkey wrote: »Models Prefer safari spice lip liner - threw away as this was really hard and didn't glide on - it really dragged across my lips and the colour was a bit too dark for me as well. It might be because it is so old (this brand has become YBF but some Q customers may remember MP.)
I remember MP. I bought one of her kits years ago that had a bronzer and yellow powder in it and must say I have never found a bronzer like it since. It was fabulous. I loved the yellow powder as well until I started using C&P and found that my skin lost a lot of its redness due to using that so made the yellow powder redundant.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. Where do you find out what the tsv's are?
If you look at the TV Guide on the QVC UK website whatever show is scheduled for middnight is host to the TSV. There's a website called shoppingtelly.com and the QVC forum there discusses upcoming TSVs with the forumites publishing details of the kits and their price before they go to air. I've found it helpful to look there and calculate whether a kit is of particular value to me or not.
I've copied and pasted what has been published as being in the kit below:-
1 x Cleanse & Polish (200ml; full size) - multi award-winning, rich cream cleanser that swiftly removes daily grime and make-up to reveal clean, soft and radiant skin
1 x Instant Boost Skin Tonic (200ml; full size) - an alcohol-free, floral scented toner to revitalise, soothe and brighten the skin. It's also an excellent skin pick-me-up at any time of day, to help you achieve a little extra radiance
1 x Botanical Shine Shampoo (200ml; full size) – gently cleans and restores natural shine, while eight essential oils leave your hair smelling clean and fresh
1 x Botanical Shine Conditioner - choice of Normal/Fine or Oily (200ml; full size) - this creamy, colour safe conditioner leaves normal hair glossy, hydrated and in perfect condition, ready to style. For everyday use by all the family
1 x Superskin Moisturiser (15ml; travel size) - this luxurious, fragrance-free moisturiser, ideal for more mature or very dry skin, contains a powerful blend of high quality naturally active ingredients. Help smooth and plump your skin for a healthy, revitalised-looking complexion
1 x Superskin Concentrate (2ml; travel size) - this intense, aromatic blend of 100% pure plant oils is suitable for all skin types. It helps to soften dry or mature skin and balance combination or oily skin
1 x Superskin Body Cream (50ml; travel size) - this divinely aromatic, rich body cream is formulated with 25% plant oils and helps more mature or very dry skin look and feel visibly plump and smooth. Enriched with East African shea butter, organic rosehip oil, cranberry seed oil and pomegranate extract, natural source vitamin E, plus the divine scent of neroli
1 x Hand Repair (50ml; travel size) - this powerful, non-greasy cream provides instant relief for your hands, protecting skin against dehydration and moisture loss
1 x Superbalm (5g; travel size) - this ‘emergency’ skin salve rescues and soothes skin. It gently softens and calms dry skin on hands, heels, elbows and lips and also helps condition nails and cuticles. Made from pure plant oils and natural waxes plus shea butter
2 x muslin cloths - kind on skin, these pure muslin cloths provide a gentle way to exfoliate skin and enhance daily cleansing
1 x luxury white wash bag
Out of all those products the only ones that are HGs for me are the C&P (Emma uses this) and the tonic. ST.com forumites are presently guessing this kit will be about £50.00 mark so for me it wouldn't be worth it for those two products alone.VALM sounds like you've moved into dangerous shopping territory with your new job!!Hope you're enjoying it and settling in well.
Thanks emsjune. The office I'm in is very quiet but so much more stress free than my last job. It's nice to be able to get on with the job without someone breathing down your neck all the time.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. Lovely sunny morning here, may try sitting on a stool and see if I can manage some weeding later when the grass dries. Need to do nails, bad chips, my 2 Germany collection OPI's came very quickly from US, so have ordered Live and Let Die from there this morning. Must stop my nail polish buying spree, my netbook died on Friday and I would like to replace it with something as my ancient laptop needs to be connected to mains most of the time and it is not worth replacing the battery. Don't know whether to get another netbook, tablet, i-pad or a new speedy lappy. Even when I have made up my mind there are so many variations out there:eek:
Such a racket outside, Air Ambulance landing on car park of factory at the end of road, some poor soul needing urgent attention.

Great idea, thanks
I have started clearing out my stuff to move house in 11 days (eek!) and I've found all sorts of things that have been forgotten about for months. A pack of hand wipes, a pack of face wipes, a St Ives facial scrub, several nail varnishes, 3 glittery eyeshadows, a few 3-sets of Rimmel eyeshadows in various colours, a rimmel lip gloss and a nail file. I have so much eyeshadow now, maybe I might be able to manage to stop myself buying any more for the next 10 years (as I think that's how long it'll all last!) :rotfl:SPC '21 #0750 -

Templespa La La Lagoon Bath and Shower Gel, 50ml - WNBA, expected more from this as aromatic to me smells like the sweets you used to get! This just didn't pack that punch, although the smell was lovely

Congrats seasideDreamer.:T
I fell off the wagon this weekend, I blame tiredness and Boots vouchers and 3 for 2.INs to declare:
Soap and Glory Pulp Friction: I've one in the shower that's spluttering and this is the only body scrub I've ever liked!
Soap and Glory Butter Yourself: this has the same scent as Pulp Friction. Not needed as I have to BS body butters in the stash. It'll be used though, especially in winter!
Una Brennan Superfacialist rose day cream: nearly finished my current day moisturiser so thought I'd try this. I have the cleasner in the range and it's really nice and the ingredients look good.
Naked shampoo: I've always wanted to try a sulphate free shampoo and needed to get over the £25 mark to use an advantage card voucher.
I've counted about 7 products that I'll definitely finish this month so at least I'll be still depleting the stash!0
