Had a look at the mag with the hand cream in today and would have bought for the shea one had the mag been cheaper or a good one. I find MC just a bunch of ads. Have tried to hunt down the mag with a Benefit sunbeam as I really want to try that but can't find one with it in.
Have an in today of PK Elasticizer, have wanted to try this out for a while and M&S are selling it now so got mine from there.
I saw the mag today with the Benefit sunbeam in but wasn't sure what it was so managed to walk away! What is it exactly?3 stone down, 3 more to go0 -

No.7 Gel Cleanser - WNBA. I only used it in the shower and certainly won't buy again. I didn't make me feel squeaky clean & I need that in a cleanser! Clinique Liquid Facial Soap & Liz Earle C&P are a million times better and not the different in price.
Herbal Essences Split Ends Comditioner - WNBA. The product was actually quite nice BUT the bottle has an awful design and after a few uses it's near impossible to get a decent amount out especially with wet hands. :mad:CC1 - [STRIKE]£8746[/STRIKE] £2801 71%LBM September 2012 - Current DFD Oct 14

Know what you mean about those HE bottles, Mockingjay. I did a shampoo survey this evening and halfway through I wondered if I was going to be offered some...! I escaped.
A UU,finally. Vaseline Essential Care Body Lotion,250 ml. WIBA? Yes, it's one of the better ones. Rubs in quite well and this particular bottle came from Poundland, iirc.
Loving my Avon Magix Face Perfector. It's for use under foundation too, but I don't wear that. It's SPF 20 and feels like silk, one of the nicest things I've applied to my face in years.
Had an email offering me an extra-special beauty box earlier, lol.... (I caused a bit of kerfuffle a while back when I suggested there was a lot of enthusing here over these boxes arriving in the post; perhaps too much, given the title of the thread.)
I looked; though they were lovely products and one or two would have been great to try, there was much that I didn't need. You can't sample every dish on the menu, so it won't matter if I never try something.
Now that Trudi's given the green light to Lush, I feel less guilty about using my Lush solid shampoo (Seanik). It's lasting forever though ...!
Lush supported an animal rights organisation that had proven links to some sickening criminal activities. Apparently they no longer do, nor are they actively anti-greyhound any more.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... Noelphobic - I am with you on the shampoo issue. I find my hair does need a jolt every now and again. I had put that down to the amount of products I use in my hair (it is short but I do play about with it daily and often put it into some funky styles). I need to de-gunk on a weekly basis or my hair just feels to heavy with no volume. I keep a few shampoos in the shower and mix it up.No buying toiletries Graduated May 2017Decluttered 2016 2469 items, 2017 1580 items :j2018 3060 itemsSealed Pot Challenge No 0380

It is a gold, shimmery cream type stuff, I have tried a bit at the counter and it is really subtle and just lights your face up.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Hi everyone, I'm back in (even though I have graduated, I still like to keep up with the thread, plus I have a LOT of makeup to get through!) Might try and post a stash list later...
Have a couple of UU to report;
Colgate Max White toothpaste - WBA, it does it's job and left my mouth feeling really fresh.
Listerine Stay White mouthwash - Again, WBA, it's a good mouthwash and doesn't make my mouth burn!
Nails Inc Angel Hands hand cream - WNBA, yes it sunk in really quickly but it had a weird scent and didn't really moisturise my hands all that well.
Maybelline Collasal Waterproof mascara - WNBA, yes it didn't smudge but it didn't really do anything for my lashes...
L'Oreal Voluminous Carbon Black mascara - My HG mascara, have another one in the stash to go but have moved on to the Clean Definition false lashes mascara which I like a lot too!
Biore UV Perfect Face Milk SPF 50 - my HG makeup primer. It keeps everything in place so well, I just wish the bottle was a little bigger! Also hate having to wait 2 weeks for it to get here from Thailand!
Estee Lauder Nutritious Mineral Makeup Sample - Have one more of these to go and think it is approaching HG status for an everyday foundation. It is a perfect match colour wise, and the finish and coverage are perfect. Only downside is that it does wear off my face during the day so I want to try the Double Wear version of this to see if that will help. Have one more mini sample pot to go of this first though which will probably last me a couple of months again!
Have almost finished my OPI Nail Envy, it's getting really hard to get some out of the bottle. Trying to use it all up because there is still a fair bit in there but might have to rope OH in to get it out of the bottle onto the brush for me while I have wet nails!
Have hit pan on a couple more e/s too which is always exciting as well!
Have a little free in to report - Estee Lauder Advanced Recovery Synchronized Serum thing...I don't know what it's called! It's one of the 7ml ones that a friend got free and didn't see the point in using it. It's a product I've always been curious by and I have to say, after using it for a couple of nights my skin does feel a lot better...Will continue to use and maybe treat myself to a full size at duty free when I go to Budapest in November or try and make a trip down to Portsmouth to the Cosmetic Company Outlet and see if they have any in stock.Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20170 -
Question for body butter/ body lotion / body oil users, which is most of us I think:
Do you ever feel that a product isn't rubbing in well, but that it may be simply because it isn't needed? I was finding for some time that a few of the butters and lotions I was using seemed not to be rubbing in at all well; some of them had rave reviews too.
I'm very lavish with products, or I was, I've tried cutting back a bit as less may well be more. Rather than coating myself fairly heavily on a daily basis, lighter use does seem to be paying off.
I had a eww toiletries related moment this week.
Because of my disability, I've only got 2 pairs of sandals that are really suitable for daily wear in summer. One pair was bought mail order and are hideous. I've put them to one side to wear when I am 85. I won't care by then.
Putting the others away I thought I'd check the state of the inside of the fabric-lined adjustable leather and Velcro strap across the top of the foot /upper toes.
It wasn't a pretty sight - I'd used foot cream heavily with these as always, to prevent any chafing whilst out and about. This had thickly coated the fabric in gunge but because I never adjust the toe strap, I hadn't noticed.
It all washed off, these sandals are machine washable and it didn't seem smelly, but eww! . Thank goodness I didn't get knocked over or knocked off the trike wearing them.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again...
