2p roadkill for me yesterday :)
Found it on the floor by the self service tills in Tesco, where I was going to pay by card as I rarely have actual cash on me, but I put the 2 pennies in first, then pressed the Pay balance by alternative method button and put the rest on my card :D:o The woman watching the tills gave me the strangest look as she'd just seen me picking them up, and my OH looked very embarrassed :rotfl: but I might as well have used them there and then and saved 2p coming out my bank :) Look after the pennies and the pounds will follow, right :D

Sent OH off with a couple more Ebay parcels to post on his lunch break. I'm sure not venturing out in the wind and rain today when I can send him out :A

  • Yippee it's Friday, almost the weekend at last.

Well I was a little bit under my target last month so will have to hit it harder this month.

Nat, thanks for running the thread, could you please include me for £10 a month? Thanks.

Starting off with £25 from the change in my mobile contract.

I was hoping for a free listings weekend on the bay, but haven't heard anything. Does anyone know when they usually announce it? I thought it was normally on the Thursday before, right?

I've been sort of gearing myself up for one, so will be a bit gutted if there's not...

    Still haven't Fatbrained those books!!

    Good luck to everyone.

  • I've been reading the old-style boards a lot recently and subsequently have bought a slow cooker (only £14). Think this is going to save me a fortune and get me more organised at the same time.

I made a massive casserole last week, enough to feed my boyfriend a couple of times and do some 'meals on wheels' for my mum and dad who had been poorly. Anyway it got rave reviews, was mega economical and full of healthy goodness. Plus I felt like some sort of Delia Nigella superwoman goddess!

Never again will I get those overpriced, under-portioned unhealthy ready meals.

I really was amazed at how cheap it worked out per portion and how simple it was to do.

Whilst not exactly making money, hopefully this might help someone save a bit on shopping and contribute to our MSE aim of having a bit more cash and living more comfortably by whatever means.

  • How do you all make so much on Swagbucks?? It seems like you'd have to spend ages clicking on stuff there to get the points up, if you don't want to sign up for things.

I am not doing very well, but am planning on listing some stuff on eBay this weekend.

I've been getting annoyed at my surveys recently - taking 5 minutes or more to be screened out. They're getting info for free

I haven't got the time to spend too long on Swagbucks so just manage to make the target most days but you see people with 100's of SBs a day :O Bit annoyed with the surveys also, 2 i've tried already have timed out right at the end :(
