Managed to get enough swagbucks for another £5 amazon voucher today. My 4th in 3 weeks but the first in October so finally something to count towards this challenge. Now saving for the next one!

Have also got 10 items on ebay of which 3 have bids so far. They're all fairly low value though at 99p each but every little helps right? Will get myself into gear and list some more stuff on there at the weekend.

£11.96 from eBay to add, and all stuff that would have gone in the bin - the crap people buy amazes me!

Quick question to you ebayers out there, if you schedule an item how do you then list it before the scheduled time without still having to pay schedule fees?
My plan is that I often have a couple of hours in the morning when DS1 is at school but want my items to end in the afternoon or evening. I have the time to unschedule them then, but DS1 bedroom is best for photos etc as a big floor space in front of the window so nice and light and good background. (Esp when I'm saying "from a CLEAN home!" ;-) ha ha! So need to do photos etc during the day before he's in bed.

Does that make sense - I've never said scheduled so much in all my life! :-)

    Thanks!
    DFS x

Click on the listing in your scheduled list, and click to revise / edit it. Then leave everything else as it is, and just tick the 'Start Immediately' box just next to where you ticked to schedule it.

Just make you schedule them the following day or at least a couple of hours later than you plan to start them, in case you forget.
I usually just schedule for the latest possible date, even if I plan to start them the same day, as it's irrelevant really. I just don't always remember, and be damned if Ebay are getting any extra 6ps out of me :D

    Suzitiger and Nat21...

How do you womble points receipts??

Not heard of this one and as I'm off to the supermarket soon, don't want to be missing out on a trick!

    Thanks!

    X

Wombling receipts is finding a receipt that someone else has left, and using it to get points (take to Customer Services - "I forgot to use my cLubcard / nectar card etc, can you add the points for me please"
And when possible putting the receipt details into the Tesco / Asda price guarantee checker website in the hope of a voucher :D:j

Making good use of the things that we find - hence the term 'womble'

    £18.10 ebay sale.

since i'm £100 away from target think i'll up it to £20 a day :)
  • Thanks Monkeynut, start immediately isn't an option on the eBay app, so will go onto their website to avoid the 6p charge! Like you say they get a big enough cut as it is! So pleased to be saving all those 6p's! Feel like I've got one over on them now! :-)

Oh no Mavvymoo, that's not good about the boiler. I haven't deemed it cold enough to put the heating on here yet (just jumpers, fleecy throws and snuggly dressing gowns!) but does that mean you have no hot water either? Or have you an immersion heater you can use?

On a survey note, is everyone signed up with Viewsbank (I think used to be Consumer Intelligence, but I might be getting them mixed up, but anyway, it used to be called something different before it got revamped!) - lots of little quick surveys for 20p kind or thing that take a couple of mins, and some that are one click for 2p etc, which add up nicely, and unlike OnePoll where you have to do loads to cashout, the threshold on Viewsbank is only £6.
They also have opportunities to do a quote research project for various insurances - basically phoning a few companies - through their system so you don't even pay for the call from a landline - and getting a quote, and filling in the questionnaire, which pays £25 :) (Grey area as it's technically a 'Mystery Shopping project' so when I've done them before I've put them in my Mystery Shopping accounts and declared them for tax, but if I didn't do other MSing then I probably wouldn't have thought of any sort of tax implications at all, as it's primarily a survey site. So you should be fine, but that's my little disclaimer :A

Anywho, if anyone would like a sausage (which is £10 a day thread lingo for a referral ;)) then let me know and I can PM you. :D

Hi all, I've decided to start a thread based on the popular £10 a day challenges. I plan to spend the next few days planning ways of making extra income and sharing ideas on here and starting the challenge on monday.

I'm planning on making £10 on average per day. This means that on some days I will make little, on others I may make more. By the 1st of January 2013 I plan to have made £850 in additional income.

I will keep a log of my money making ideas and whether I am meeting my targets or not. Ideas so far include:

    1) selling surplus possessions on eBay
    2) purchasing things at car boot sales and online to sell on
    3) busking on a weekend
    4) using savings on my weekly spending budget to add to the pot. For example, using money I would have spent on going out for a coffee to go into the challenge pot.
    5) looking for matched betting opportunities that I haven't already used up.
    6) looking for online earning opportunities (surveys etc). Not had much luck with these but may look into the, again.
    7) making and 'upcycling' furniture in a rustic or chubby chic style.

If anyone has other ideas they'd like to share, that would be wonderful! I hope this thread will help to maintain my motivation and discipline!

    Thanks,

    Paul.

    December 2012. Target: £310. Achieved: £0

  • Oh no Mavymoo, I hope you get it fixed cheaply rather than having it replaced. It's rubbish being a grown up isn't it!?

Monkeynut - a referral to viewsbank would be fab please, I get so annoyed with onepoll, I seem to have been at £12 forever! I hope you get something out of handing out sausages! ;-)
