Morning all :j Just dropping in to say hello and wish everyone a happy Friday!

Went to Mr A's last night to pick up the last of the pressies and get some bits for tonight, we're visiting a friend. Dead chuffed with msyelf as came in £9 under budget for the pressies and £10.73 under budget on the money I'd allocated for tonight. And had a £5 voucher. Woop. The money won't go into payments yet though, I've still got other Christmas pots that need topping up so it's been distributed accordingly. I'm hoping that I've over budgeted for everything and then at the end I'll have a bit left over to stock up on cheapo stocking fillers in the sales for next year.

I have a confession. I did find a receipt in a trolly. I stuck it in the website and got a massive £6.87 voucher. AMAZED! Will defo be doing that again, thanks for the tip!!!!

I always 'womble' the receipts in Tescos, I got a great one the other day of £9.16!! My best yet! I was so chuffed!!

What do you do with the receipts!? I claim the Tesco points on found receipts!!

If you put the details in on www.tescopricepromise.com you then get an email back in two days or so telling you whether they were more expensive or not. If they were then you can print out a voucher for the difference!

Mine were Asda, so used the asda price checker website theingymabob....

All those finding receipts you lucky jammy beggars.. I WANT ONE! MissLadyAnnie I am super impressed with your find! That is exceptional! I feel like adding "the act of Wombling" into the next challenge just to see how much we can all claw back from this food giants!!! Keep eyes open around Christmas as people will be stocking up on booze and those receipts are going to be humdingers. I would also look to getting rid of the loan asap. 5% is high and you need to concentrate on that. Then when its gone the CC... Whats the break down though..?

Killer - without a doubt, for the sake of the memory of your Dad this money has to go towards something precious, simple, long-lasting that you will always have. A ring maybe, antique, in the birthstone of your father? I would not personally allow you to put this towards any debts, amalgamate it for any other item - this amount I think should be something unique? How do you feel about it so far - whats on your mind its bound to be upsetting so something that you would have to think about for a little bit... thank you for sharing this with us though!!

Saz - 45p Tesco Every Day nachos perchance? I find them super salty though although quite nice! I bought a 99p bag of popcorn kernels the other day... it makes a LOT in a Teflon pan with enough oil to cover them, lid on and a sprinkle of salt before they pop. Voila delicious, low fat treats as I go through nachos like a beast!

Mayfair - well done on this brain-storming. We can help you get that debt cleared..I too am aiming for a house deposit.. its a long way off but my determination knows no bounds!!!Spreadsheets are the best invention EVER and a I am glad you have one or two on the go.. Christmas time is hard to reign in but you are on track to have a super 2013 one where you may even be debt free!! :T..and your not a weirdo don't worry.... not like some of 'em on here! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Happy cleaning ninja, i did mine yesterday i always feel much better after a good clean up . No negative wealth payments will be made now till next pay day and then i hope to be clearing off a cc just waiting for ohs bonus x

I'm in the same boat. After Hubs wages came in yesterday and went to the bills pots and Christmas pots there wasn't any left over for payments. He gets paid weekly, I get paid monthly, hoping to be paid a bit early before Christmas day though so may be able to tie up a few payments early. I have made the decision though that once the Christmas pots have their allocated amounts (shoul happen this time next week) everything over that is going on payment. No extra treats, no extra booze. If it's not in the pot it's going on a payment. There. I've said it so I have to do it now. :j

Also listed 3 bits of tat on ebay in the hope that they might sell. Fingers crossed everyone please! (I'm an ebay virgin and can't see why anyone would want what I'm selling....)
