Have you no self control, I was trying to get this thread back on track in a friendly way, tut tut.:A
Well its gone up now to £22 and 24 watchers still, money is my DD's anyway.
Carboot in the morning, getting rid of some stuff I can't be bothered to sell on ebay.0 -
99p listings are absolutely the way to go - if you have done your homework and checked out that similar items are achieving a good price. A 99p listing encourages early bidding and items will find their own price level.
2 weeks ago I listed some concert tickets that I bought and found I couldnt' use, my colleage suggested putting a reserve and I said no because that has to be over £50, costs me money and the tickets only cost me £30, as I couldn't use them it didn't matter what they sold for really he offered to push the price up and I said NO. Well they sold for £105 - from a 99p reserve with no shill bidding.
Listed some more tickets this week in the same manner - these are the ones I bought for re-sale and paid one heck of a lot of money for, no way do I want to make a loss on these BUT it will be a fair and honest auction. I don't actually think the profit margin will be so huge but I am confident I will not be losing out here.
As for the final set of tickets - bought them for re-sale and now some of my colleagues want them. OK for one - I kinda knew he would want them when I bought them so I bought an extra pair but the other guy - he wants 1 of my re-sale pair AND he "can't afford" to pay up front and wants to pay me £20 a month! NO WAY!The best things in life are NOT free - but they sure are cheaper with MSE!:j0 -
Did try to say thanks for that KathrynPenguin, but the button has disappeared!
Now in my sorting of clutter prior to moving, I have unearthed a fantastic knitting pattern of a Penguin Jumper, must be meant for you:rotfl:
