I am nothing if not honest
Just spent the last 15 mins with daughter clearing said clutter, and no the price has not gone up.
Just thought including other photos may aid the sale.
By the way, do you like my literary style?:D0 -

My daughter says I should try doing things straight, think she means humourless,
Well I think that's what she means0 -

Oh yes, there are quite a few pairs of the well worn thingy's waiting to be listed;)0 -
You could always get someone to place a pseudo bid on the item to make sure you don't 'Give it away'.
This is called schilling or schill-bidding and frowned on by some, but you're out to make money aren't you?
Shill bidding is unethical, dishonest and and against Ebay rules. If caught you will be suspended by Ebay. If you should sell the item and the winner works it out I can guarantee you won't be getting positive feedback. It's plain wrong and I appaled that it has even been suggested! As if there aren't enough problems with Ebay as it is.
I am amazed by some peoples dishonesty sometimes.
If you are worried about your price, close the auctions NOW and restart them with a higher start price or a reserve. And before someone suggests it...yes, you could see how the price is looking 24 hours before the end of the auction and pull the auction if you don't like the look of it but this won't gain you any friends and isn't particularly ethical either and you might shoot yourself in the foot by missing last minute bidders or snipers.

do not Shill bid
That is not the way and you will get caught! there are enough people out there now who know what to look for! and it is so unfair to everyone else!
If you feel you have listed them too low then just revise the item and knock the price up! most items attract bids in the last 1hr of the auction!Angel

As I've already stated, I don't want to do anything unethical, I'm a decent person and wouldn't like anything unfair done to me.
I have listed the items already and will not change them except to add another couple of photos.
I have quite a lot more items to list and was asking for advice regarding these items prior to listing them.
Sensibly I would have asked for the advice before listing anything:eek:
But hum ho I'm new at this selling lark.
Thank you for your help0 -

I am not going to go down the 'shill bidding is unethical' road, here. That deserves another thread.
Schill bidding, like it or not, is a fact of life.
I merely suggested it. I didn't advise that it was a good idea. That, frankly, is up to the individual.
Have you ever been to a real life auction? Do you understand the phrase 'Taking a bid off the wall' - a practice used in many auctions by reputeable auctioneers?
As for unethical, dishonest and immoral - that sums up about half of what goes on on MSE anyway.
Tesco makes a mistake with the price on an item and watch the scramble for that 'Bargain'. See how many print off more than one voucher when offered, when it clearly states 'Only one per household'!!
Do you not think it unethical that bidders wait till the very last second before placing their bid, just pennies above the existing bid, in order to secure that item at a lowly price? Do they care if you list the P&P price incorrectly?
