Hi everyone,
Glad to hear you've all had a good week bargain hunting! It's highly addictive but so worth it. Can't believe how many times the children have wailed 'Mum, the shampoo has run out' at 7am and I can calmly go to my stock cupboard and fetch a new one
Welcome lottie3000 - will add you to the list in a bit. Is there a special item you are saving up for?
In my news - paid 2nd purse back today for items used this week - £41.60. I also went to Co$tco on Tuesday and got some loo roll, fruit flakes and juice cartons for packed lunches.
New totals are:
2nd purse - £50/£50
3rd purse - £45.93
Stock value - £218.50
Have a great BH weekend everyone.

I've just ordered a click and collect at Tesco full of hlaf price items.
I wanted to take advantage of the half price diet coke.0 -
I've just updated my signature.
I've spent £20.48 today, a £20 investment and 48p from the purse. I bought 3x 24 cans of diet coke, 4 bottles of bleach and 2 cans of hot dogs.
I'm now watching Hoarders on Bio. I'm denying the irony.0 -

I've done a bigger stock check today and with absolutely everything taken into account I have got stock valued at £177.50 and i'm going to add to that on Tuesday as Dove for men is on offer!!
I watch hoarders too, haha. I'm not that bad all of my things will be used eventually???!!!
I'm not saving for anything in particular, a free month of grocery shopping would be good, i'm doing it more to get an definite total for monthly shops and I do think if I don't get on top of my cupboards, my OH will be writing into hoarders!!0 -
It's getting silly now :rotfl: I popped to get a loaf of bread and bought crisps and more dishwasher tabs. I've spent another £8.17. I am going to have to re think this £10 a week and maybe just budget it from my normal grocery budget.
I know have over £100 worth of stock. I can see us starting to use some of the stock in the next week so I can start repaying my purse and saving for my freezer. :j0 -
Well I must admit I am glad I'm not the only one who is feeling a bit obsessed.
Did my weekly shop spend £35! Then spent anout £17 on stockpile. Pretty pleased with myself. Because of the money saved I felt able to buy a birdfeeder for my little one and took her swimming. That should have gone to my second purse but its nice to do something with her :jSecond Purse Challenge

I'm going to have to join Second Pursers Anonymous.
I had some MOCs to use by the end of the month and we go away tomorrow so I went to use them today. I bought 3x lynx shower gel which were less than half price, a Method spray cleaner and washing up liquid (usually £3 each but now 2 for £4 and I had two £1 MOCs), and three shampoos on the 3 for 2 offer (I had a 75p MOC and I got a batiste which I can claim cash back from the manufacturer for).
But the best bit today is that I have started to use items from my stockpile so I have put £17.18 into the purse :j:j0 -
Just updating got a lovely load of yellow sticker stuff spent £3.63 on about £20 worth of stuff, I am never that lucky. My local Mr T doesn't usually do good reductions so I am pleased with that!
My freezer is now jam packed think I need a chest freezer! So I guess this is were I slow down my spending and can start building up my second purse? Store cupboard items seem to be few and far between. Am I right in this, do you guys think so?

Got a good deal from Currys Got a £500 f/f for £250. So well pleased with that. I'm thinking of getting a small chest freezer too for bread n stuff. They are only about £100-150. I'm going to have a wee scout around to see where I can put it.
I wouldn't worry that there's not many bargains around. They are like busses lol. Just keep filling up your 2nd purse and be ready to pounce when they do come.
I deposited £529 of the 2nd/ 3rd purses money in my c/acc. I had just over £1,000. Way too much cash to have lying around. I'm going to give my DD a few hundred for helping me in the garden, she's just finishing UNI and she's skint. That will leave me nearly £400 for the additional freezer and whatever is left for stock.
I'm so pleased that some of you are getting into the 2nd /3rd purses. After a while it becomes 2nd nature.1st Purse £114.19 Monthly GB:rotfl::j:wave::j:rotfl:
