I won't keep it at £10 per week forever, just whilst I'm starting off so I can see quick progress!0

Hi everyone,
A big warm welcome to our new joiners :hello: I have added you to the list on page 1 and if you want to 'name' your shop please let me know. Also if you have a target amount you want to save towards, or a luxury item your savings will go on, please do tell me and I can amend the list.
Massive apology to Billie-jo as I hadn't added you prior to today - you are #069Don't know how I missed you, sorry
My Friday update is as follows:
Stock used this week £42.30 so have added that to 2nd purse. Totals now stand at:
2nd purse: £50/£50
3rd purse: £39.42
Stock value: £214.60
Just umming and ahhing over whether to do an AF order. Do I really need more snacks in the cupboard? Decisions, decisions :rotfl:
Have a good evening everyone

Had some vouchers for M&S (had them ages) so spent them the other day and have put some of the items into my stockpile and will pay 2nd purse when I use them. Its meant that the total stock amount has gone up without me spending any of the money.
2ND PURSE £50/£50
3RD PURSE £35.00/£50
BANKED SO FAR £100
STOCK TOTAL £166.84MARCH £62.38/2500 -
I'm so pleased. I spent £42 on my weekly shop instead of the usual £70!! And I've just started.
I have spent about £50 in the last two weeks on my stockpile but its worth around £100.
This is also making me a bit more mindful about buying items that aren't on my list so I think that has helped. I am putting all left over grocery money in my second purse.....good job too as its been cleaned out!
Does anyone else find hunting grocery bargins a bit addictive or is it just me :rotfl:Second Purse Challenge

Its HIGHLY addictive LOL.
It doesn't take long till you see the benefits of your hard work though.
Even now I get a kick out of buying the items from myself.
Its hard to get your head round the fact you have what you need and you STILL have the money, for a while anyway till you find more bargains.
Well done all of you.1st Purse £114.19 Monthly GB:rotfl::j:wave::j:rotfl:
2nd Purse ££100Fridge Freezer £300 3rd Purse /£290.940 -
It is stupidly addictive. I usually do my food shop on a Thursday or Friday. I was itching to go and 'second purse' today.
Instead I wrote a list of wants and then checked mysupermarket for them. Both mine and hubby's deodorant is half price in Tesco and Sainsburys this week so I'll get those.
I've shown my store cupboard to everyone who comes into our house and I've even cleared the room for my freezer in the garage already. I can see myself becoming slightly obsessed!0 -
well I'm so glad I am not the only one! It seems to occupying my thoughts!
Just posting an update:
I have only £4 in my second purse but been mega spending and now have a stock of £147!:j I have spent £88 although I don't know where it has come from I don't feel it, its just been from my start up fund and left over grocery shop so it wasn't painful at all!
I am now wondering what on earth I used to spend all my money on and if I am ever going to be able to move money out of my second purse into my 3rd purse...
I am so grateful to mothership and coxy :iloveyou:Second Purse Challenge

I popped into Tesco today so bought this weeks stuff.
I bought 6 half price Sure deodorant which came to £9 and another half price Carex hand soap for 90p.
I'm getting annoyed now that we haven't used anything from the store cupboard. :rotfl:
Looking out for bleach, toothpaste, washing up liquid or washing powder next time.0 -
Can I join this please, sounds like such a good way of balancing out weekly shopping budgets and I think I'll get on well with this. I've got a massive store now what with AF orders and good deals so I think I will include those items too. I'll have a think about a store name, i'm not very inventive!!0

I have valued my stash at £98.28 so far and i'm going to start the £20 this month and then add another at the start of June. I will carry a maximum of £50 in my second purse, off now to update my signature. My store can be called Cherry Corner, I think my OH thinks i'm nuts so i'm glad i've found you lot who understand and help me out!! hehe0
