  • There does seem to be a risk going down the eBay unofficial unlock route , I'm thinking of selling it on eBay now hopefully get £600 (32gb) then order one from apple when they have them in

Don't forget to take ebay and paypal fees into account. IIRC they amount to 10%.

Why would anyone pay £600 for a SIM-locked secondhand iPhone on eBay when they can buy a brand new one from Apple for the same price?

Because they can have it now not wait a month till stock arrives with Apple or the networks.

Same every time aa "must have" gadget arrived, think about the Wii, WiiFit and so on.

I thought about saelling min on the first few days as the 16gb ones were going for £900 Madness I know but if people are willing to pay silly money and I don't mind a months wait to make £300 it was tempting.

Even if you unlock it you're still stuck with orange contract
although why you would take out two ccontracts is a complete enigma
When will the "Edit" and "Quote" button get fixed on the mobile web interface?

How are you stuck with orange if you're unlocking to use o2 sim?

Why would you want to go back to o2 if it's crap?

    Something doesn't ring true

so I'm getting the 5 to use. on my O2 contract !!!
The question is why she took an expensive overpriced contract with iP 5 that she doesn't need instead of going sim-only.
