Hi,just read through this thread and really enjoyed reading.I'm a happy singleton,I have a small amount of debt, mainly through ex not paying anything and bringing DD up alone for last 18 years. She's at uni now and I'm so proud of her.I'm 50 now,but I enjoy life and being able to do what I want to do.

    Good luck everyone!

I think you should join on a technicality (student loan) and do it for savings - to be honest if we had someone in here who had a signature that detailed increasing savings - id be really jealous, and it would really motivate me to get debt free as soon as possible so i can start saving. Please join!!

  • This thread has picked up some speed! :T

I'm 35. I like being single, but I do kind of miss being in a relationship as well. I'm absolutely not in 'meeting people' mode at the moment, though. 2011 was a horrendous year for me, so the theme of 2012 has been getting back on my feet. I think 2013 is going to just be me me me me me, and then maybe trap off a lot in 2014 :rotfl:
"Most of the people ... were unhappy... Many solutions were suggested for this problem, but most of these were largely concerned with the movements of small green pieces of paper, which is odd because on the whole it wasn't the small green pieces of paper that were unhappy." -- Douglas Adams

And Muhren - THANK YOU for saying this, it gave me a real boost today. Its hard sometimes doing this on your own, so comments like that, and this thread of fellow SAD's really helps :j

I'm glad I helped put a smile on at least one persons face yesterday then! Hopefully this thread will act as a motivator to many on their quest to become DF.

Go to "user cp", then on the left hand side you will see "edit signature"
