Thank you Loopy Lou!! I am VERY determined when i set my mind to something, and im determined to be debt free! Its lovely having support on here from people in the same situation - i love that you and I both have the CC challenge on our signature!! - something like the CC challenge makes me feel like im accountable to everyone, and so I HAVE to stick to it - otherwise I am letting the other challengers down!!
Its strange, the debt always felt HUGE, and impossible - I cant believe how fast it is coming down now? The only thing im worried about is the OD...cos its on my current account, so I will have to be SUPER strict about not dipping in to the part ive paid off each month!Total Debt: was £8,400 / now £0
Debt free date - 31st January 2013!!!
Swagbucks earnings £50/£600
2013 SAVINGS - £605 / £12,0000 -
This thread kind of makes me want to dump the other half and join properly! Lol my OH doesn't know the level of my CC debt as it was accrued with previous partner so I am dealing with it on my own, its not fair to involve new OH. So I know I'm not technically SAD but will still stalk this thread instead :-/
Oh and I'm 28 :-)Nothing to report as yet...give me a minute...!0 -
I realised it has been ages since I popped in here to say hello.
I am 47 and love being on my own at the moment, I am sure that might change as I get older, but I like the fact I have no one to answer to! Also I want my debt gone before I start another relationship.
I was married for 24 years and 11 months, it was a bad relationship throughout, but we had kids so I stuck at it. I would not put up with any of that nonsense nowadays so the next man has a lot to live up to ha ha
I also like my own company too, making decisions based on what I want to do and not have to think of anyone else, it is very selfish, but as my kids are now grown up, I can spend some time on me now and I am not giving that up again.
Although if the right man came along at the right time you never know I might change my mind again.
Happy birthday Shoe Gal have a great day on SundayBeen here for a long time and don't often post

Hi Heffi1 I feel the same aboutmy independence and was with my husband for 22 years since I was 18, never lived on my own before. Even though technically I do have a teenage son and a nearly 9 year old son living with me, so not quite on my own. But it's great not answering to anyone. :TMake £10 a day challenge - January 2023 = £292.89/£310 - Feb 2023 = £677.09/280 - March 2023 = £102.45/£310 - April = £300.12/300 - May 2023 = £306.80/£310 - June = £245.88/£150 - July = £295.45/£310 - August 2023 £51.56/£3100
