As you have inclusive calls to 01/02 numbers your also be able to use their 02 access number.

Sky have never required it had to be a BT line. It could be any providers line. Only has to be one connected up to BT exchange if you want Sky broadband or Sky Talk.

Unless you have multi-room you don't even need a phone line. (Though they may charge a £25 manual activation fee).

When I first had cable TV and broadband I never had a cable phone line (previously as Telewest and then Virgin Media). I kept my BT line as it wasn't a requirement with Birmingham Cable / Telewest / Virgin Media I needed a phone line. I later dropped my BT line and for 3 years was VoIP only. I only now have a VM phone line due the retention deal including it at no charge with calls package and caller display.
