A shame the Virgin phone line is a requirement for the tv, otherwise I would be going straight back to BT :(

Isn't THIS package BB & TV alone?

I like a BT line so I can use 1899,18185 etc or anyone else I choose to make my calls.

Sorry but I have never had any tv from cable ( Cabletel-NTL-Virgin),, even though they keep saying I can have it for free.

For Sky you have to have a BT line, but with cable you can have any one , any mix, or all.

BTW NTL blocked the dedicated Voip code ( forget what it is ) when Voip started giving out non-geo numbers.

I was just about to say something like that, but that’s only good if you want the specific TV Size: L and Broadband Size: M services. However, if you’ve been a customer for a good while, so that you’re outside the initial contract period, call Customer Retentions. Tell them why you’re unhappy, and ask them for a price for just the services you do want. The Retentions number is 0800 052 9403 for former ntl-area customers, and, I believe, 0800 073 0591 for former Telewest-area customers.

Yes but getting a BT phone line on top would mean paying an extra £6/month more than what I am currently paying.

I currently pay £26.50 for tv L, broadband M & basic phone. I make mainly 0844 calls as my boyfriend is currently abroad. If they block 0844 access & move to BT then I would need to get rid of the tv to ensure that I am paying the same monthly cost.

What intl destination do you ring via 0844 ?

Not true, I have Virgin TV and Virgin broadband, and my telephone line remains with BT. Ask for 2 for £20 deal

    Cyprus mobile (1p/min)

    Currently: phone (£11/month), tv (£5.50/month), broadband (£10/month)
    Total monthly cost: £26.50

If I were to go with the 2 for £20 and BT line rental the total monthly cost would be £20 tv & broadband, £11 BT
    Total monthly cost: £31

£5.25 if you paid by DD and opted for paper-free billing but that's by-the-by.

So, it depends really how much less you'd pay for your calls with a BT line.

Half price connection (3p as opposed to VM's 6p).

Half price for peak 0870 calls (5p as opposed to VM's 10p/minute).

Peak calls to UK 01/02 numbers for 5p each regardless of duration (using 1899, 18185 or 18866).
