Dad is due to have surgery this Tuesday, will likely require at least three days in ITU and probably a week or more in hospital after that. I'm trying not to think too hard about it all. The fact my brother's 4th baby is due right now (due date was five days ago now) is really playing on my mind as well.
Hubby and I both really feeling it this week. Today would have been his Dad's birthday, the memorial event a week today. Urgh.Credit Card & Overdraft Debts Jan 2012: £16,000+ [STRIKE] Credit Card & Overdraft Debts Sep 2013: £13,023 [/STRIKE]

Baby boy was 12lb 9oz! Biggest baby born on the unit!
Dad's actual surgery went well, but he's had a week on antibotics and ventilator in ICU after developing pneumonia from a hib infection (something babies have now been vaccinated against since the mid 90s).
He's been poorly but overall stable and is more awake again now. My poor stepmum only one up there and allowed to visit this week dealing with it all. I've legit had a 'go bag' packed alll week as a just in case measure.
The memorial event all went well though and hubby's a bit lighter mentally for it.
I quit the temp job, or rather I was going to quit and they emailed some !!!!!! reason to tell me not to go in the following week. They were awful and I do not need that stress on top of everything else right now. I'm going to do the admin for hubby's new property empire instead. He hates the paperwork, left one letter aside for a week as it had forms, the ones to instruct the solicitors, which considering the mortgage offer was approved, meant he was delaying himself. I got it filled out within 45mins and posted off on the way to pick DS up from school that afternoon.Credit Card & Overdraft Debts Jan 2012: £16,000+ [STRIKE] Credit Card & Overdraft Debts Sep 2013: £13,023 [/STRIKE]

Dad then spent like ten days sedated on a ventilator in ICU as he developed pnuemonia, thankfully he's now home and doing well as all the oncology surgery was fine!
Was so glad I quit that job though, I couldn't have dealt with that crap along with the state Dad was in.
We're now on half term, looking forward to a couple of extra mornings without the alarm on and not needing to be straight out of the house!!Credit Card & Overdraft Debts Jan 2012: £16,000+ [STRIKE] Credit Card & Overdraft Debts Sep 2013: £13,023 [/STRIKE]

How does a month keep going by between my postings!?
Temp job actually paid me and have provided a P45. Shocked but ok, good for when I need one again.
Dad recovering well, now due to start residual chemo treatment which rules out Christmas and likely his 70th Birthday at the end of January so we all got together here at our house yesterday, my brother and his four kids as well, first time to meet 8wk old nephew, already 14lb 8oz!
Christmas gifts all already bought, need more wrapping paper though and lunch for the day booked at local pub. This week relatively quiet, bar Hanukkha (Hubby's family) being done at school and nursery for both kids before we're already into finally two and bit weeks of term, Xmas jumper days, sing-a-long concerts and parties. Then we'll already be done.
I now qualify for my booster jab as 2nd was end of May and I'm over 40, trying to find a local venue before resorting to GP option but nothing available so far.Credit Card & Overdraft Debts Jan 2012: £16,000+ [STRIKE] Credit Card & Overdraft Debts Sep 2013: £13,023 [/STRIKE]

Happy New Year
I've been so anxious over the whole of December, between the kids being sniffly and school and nursery having kids off sick etc, and general Xmas NYE build up, my anxiety has flared several times really badly and has been almost constantly low level as well.
Which is frustrating in terms of money just not being an issue anymore. Hubby even bought himself a cheap little sports car he's that flush. He'll pay for me to do driving lessons again as I can have use of the Jeep instead. Just need to do a lot of updating, mt passport and provisional license are both still in my maiden name (yes we've been married six years already!) and at my old address.
My charity shopping is very much my head clearing space right now. Also we were due to have our loft boarded out the week before Christmas but that had to be postponed until the middle of January so there's tons of stuff in our room waiting for that to be done!Credit Card & Overdraft Debts Jan 2012: £16,000+ [STRIKE] Credit Card & Overdraft Debts Sep 2013: £13,023 [/STRIKE]

Loft boarding now happening tomorrow. This is good as I feel all the unsettled clutter up here in our room (I say Ours, he's been sleeping on the recliner downstairs with the dog for over a year, this actually works for our sleeping patterns and his back tbh lol) is only adding to my anxiety and stress. It's really flared my shoulder, neck and jaw with tense muscle issues.
Tormorrow I also have my inital wellness phone appointment.
Then need to really see a dentist and chase up Rheumatology as all they did six months ago was say to my GP that I could keep having strong painkillers (which they didn't put on auto-repeat, just waited for me to keep chasing for more, more anxiety!) and scan my hands (after a flare finished) and say 'oh, no imflamation there, all good!' and then do or say nothing else. Like, then why are you not looking further into what causes these problems for me??
Currently in a mild flare now after booster five weeks ago and all the stress of Xmas and Omicron etc etc.
Best calm for me? Hours, literally hours in the Charity shops. Finding cosplay/costume/historical type items. Kinda wish I was actually working in that kind of realm tbh.Credit Card & Overdraft Debts Jan 2012: £16,000+ [STRIKE] Credit Card & Overdraft Debts Sep 2013: £13,023 [/STRIKE]

Loft done and near enough everything I wanted put up is up.
More clearing out of my stuff, gone donated already etc, hubby's stuff mainly sorted, bagged and ready for a run to the donation centre ASAP.
Jaw issues better, neck and shoulder still on/off problems but also now noting a connection between mid back issues and being able to engage my upper core fully. New efforts with re-discovered excersize equipment have finally re-engaged the lower core/abs and are helping work on my hip tightness.
Ironically wellness sessions are on hold due to personal issues with my advisor. I'm due to have CBT sessions though.
Biggest issue right now is the funds Hubby paid me back for the car purchase made previously (that car now traded in) are near enough drained now after six months (my only monthly income is child benefit and a regular amount from hubby which total £300 combined) he says 'use the joint account' for the kids stuff and meds and vitamins etc but then keeps moaning that too much is being spent, I'm like between the covid and brexit issues causing price hikes and kids who grow every six months AND we're trying to eat Keto/low carb so we can't just live on cheap pasta bakes anymore, we buy more meat, milk, eggs and specialist low carb wraps, flour, sweetener, protein powder etc, YES IT DOES COST MORE. duhCredit Card & Overdraft Debts Jan 2012: £16,000+ [STRIKE] Credit Card & Overdraft Debts Sep 2013: £13,023 [/STRIKE]

Fast forward another two weeks, we've been isolating at home for over a week as Hubby tested positive on Friday 4th of Feb after board gaming with friends the prior Tuesday. Kept the kids off school and nursery all last week and I tested positive Tuesday 8th. Kids stayed negative.
Hubby should be ok to go out Monday but I'm still only just at day five and not yet tested to see if my negatives come up.
Between covid and dealing with a five, and almost four year old, pair of kids at home all day every day, my voice is gone.
Feeling reasonable otherwise, more irritated and frustrated by the disruption but thankful it's not been worse obviously.
Wondering how this will affect my anxiety as I think worrying about this eventuality has been one of my bigger triggers recently especially.Credit Card & Overdraft Debts Jan 2012: £16,000+ [STRIKE] Credit Card & Overdraft Debts Sep 2013: £13,023 [/STRIKE]
