I feel that this is the most appropriate thread to post this on, and the Khalvashi household is in, so who's with us on no smoking for October, as you're 5x more likely to give up.
A few days to go, so lets get preparing an MSE membership club!

Just wanted to wish you all good luck, i stopped on the 23rd January this yearLBM 2 and the OH is onboard sept 12, DMP will start on the 1st November, DFD who cares as longs as it comes:)

Yes. It's time for me. Been smoking 10 a day since 16, now 31. I've often felt I should give up and have managed to for a few months at a time but something has always drawn me back to the cigs... probably the feeling that I enjoyed smoking and didn't really want to stop, just felt I should stop.
But over the last 3 months or so I've felt fed up of being a smoker. I've got the patches at home and a fiddle toy to distract me when I want to light up, but haven't got round to setting a "quit day" yet - so here I am, Monday 1st October it is!
I stayed with my parents the week before last and I don't smoke around them, then I got a stinking cold and was only puffing about 2 a day (still really stupid with a cough and sore chest!) so I'm already on far less than I was so a lot of the hard work is done already.Public appearances now involve clothing. Sorry, it's part of my bail conditions.0 -
