I had both of the boys in early today. I needed to get their medium weight rugs off and put their heavyweights on. My biggest one, the most gentle horse I have ever had, stood there like a lamb, while I got his coat off. I gave him a quick groom groom over and then put his new rug on him. Not long after I put my hand up inside his neck cover and across down to the top of his shoulders and he was lovely and toasty warm.
The other one, well what can I say about him, he is an unmitigated barstool when it comes to changing rugs. He will stand there and bite the stables and swirls his back legs around. Anyway suffice to say that I got that coat on him after me shouting at him like a fishmongers wife
This cold snap looks like it is here for the next few days with lows down to -5 tonight.Cat, Dogs and the Horses are our fag and beer money:beer:

Wow, some great tips in there, thanks! :T I agree with you about taking the time to look at the bad reviews. Like you say, people are often more likely to take the time to write something if they've had a bad experience than a good one.rising_from_the_ashes wrote: »I got one of these last year - and will say it's a darn site stronger than some of the folding ones I've seen! It does actually move the snow!
Fab wee thing, folds up & goes in it's pouch and sits in the under-seat passenger seat storage tray in my car all year round:)

Thanks for that, this was the one I was looking at but wasn't sure on due to ebay not having reviews (and no brand mentioned to compare on other sites).
I've made my Primark trip - I think it will be at least another 2 years before I try and do that again, I do hate that shop! Bought a few pairs of 'thermal' socks - £2.50 for 2 pairs. Fleece lined tights - £3.50 per pair. Thermal leggings - £5 a pair.0 -
I might make a trip to primarni tomorrow! Fleecy tights mmmm lolBossymoo
