My downstairs loo is next to the front door & the hall is quite narrow at that point, it widens after the loo & that is where I have put my curtain up, lined with fleece on an extendable shower curtain from argos. I have a space of about 2 metres from the front door to the curtain, plenty of room in your case for the cat to get through the cat flap & can push its way around the curtain.
Don't know if this is possible in your set up but it works for us. Can really notice the difference the other side of the curtain if you pop to the downstairs loo in the evening. Our hall is single story, quite large & open up the stairs & landing & can be quite chilly. Having a curtain up at either end (front & back door) has really made a difference to make it feel much cosier in there!

Hi that might just work as our hallway is T shaped so I could try a curtain at the junction part so that we can still get to the bathroom and bedrooms downstairs without too much problem,(we are a bungalow with two bed downstairs and then an attic conversion for the third bedroom upstairs but where I would be able to put the curtain will mean that everywhere is still easily accessible.1 Sealed Pot Challenge # 1480

I went out to tackle some of the mess in the garden (kids toys still left out and furniture blown around) and it started raining!
Got about 1/3 of the jobs done but it is a start0 -
My shed door was open  so all around the doorway is wet. I have shut it but need to remember to open it during the week to allow it to dry out...
Thankfully I tackled my garden last month so everything is away and tidy.
We have been using some bits out of the storecupboard so I'll have a recci and replace what we've used. It's also my Xmas store for the kiddies presents so another month and it will be a lot emptier :eek:Bossymoo

Scary time with the floods in stafforshire the lakes near me have burst their banks and the fields surrounding me are now lakes with ducks swimming on them! The water line is now only about 15 metres from my front door eeekkk, luckily enough I'm on an incline so I should be safe! It was scary driving about today though, the roads are so dangerous and like rivers!0

It is forecast to get allot colder next week with daytime temperatures not getting above 5 degrees!Cat, Dogs and the Horses are our fag and beer money

I'm not sure quite where to put this-one way of staying warm in winter is to wear layers, but in particular using silk garments,as these are wonderfull insulators.Easy to do as most silk garments are not bulky.
I went out today wearing a pair of thin silk trousers with my tights and was fine.I also wear a silk blouse under my woollen jumpers.
I posted this last year as well.Hope it's of use to someone.0 -

My friend who is a forecaster in the states says he sees more heavy rain for the UK over the next few days then a very cold spell with freezing temperatures and snow near the end of the week.“The superior man, when resting in safety, does not forget that danger may come.
