Thanks Pigpen - now I'm unsure lol - think I'll stick with trying DS's on and go from there, kids said they were lovely and warm last year so I'm hoping they fit me!

I have extremely wide feet.. Evans shoes are often too narrow!

I've just discovered that I need to buy DD a new winter jacket. She may measure much the same roundways as she did a year ago but the sleeves of last year's jacket are now half way up to her elbows and it's far too short. Pity, her uncle brought it back from Canada for her and it was a fantastically warm three in one type of jacket, very wind and waterproof. Oh well, one of her younger friends will undoubtably like it.

Try sports direct they have some really good winter jackets in their sale for £10 or under.

According to the Express next week is below freezing & Snow.

Thanks for this :D I seriously thought this must be a wind up:-

Anyway, I have got the horses new winter rugs today so they are sorted. Took delivery of another 20 bales of hay and 20 of straw so the barn is stacked.

I am going to the butchers next Tuesday afternoon and get the freezer stocked right up. I have put the extra milk on next weeks shopping list for sinking in the freezer.

I am going to have to think about protecting the cordylines sooner rather than later. The fleece wrap worked well last year so hopefully it will do this year with the same treatment.

Well my new bed did arrive (at 7.05 this morning!!) so I now have my lovely warm 15 tog quilt on it. OH won't let me put the teddy mattress enhancer on yet tho :(.

I've had to phone in sick to work the last two days. Had some horrible bug, muscles were so sore I could not move yesterday. Horrid.

Had to buy a new chest of drawers as the old one had warped terribley. So that means a good clothes clear out!

Hope you're feeling better soon. It's always on the cusp of changing seasons these bugs come out in force. x

Looks like we might miss the Snow here at it says North not north east, but might get the frosts.

No risk here. It's saying highs of 19 next weekend but plenty of rain.

Must finish DH's car box though, I must!

    Lol at your trotters :D

Helen Jelly, I don't have skinny feet, and I found them fine. I'd say mine are average to bit wide. If that makes sense :rotfl:

Anyway, I don't think they are a small fit... X
