Right.
Onesie purchased and on, heating off....let the experiment begin....lol.
one thing to note with a onsie, you may wish to wear a tshirt or a vest underneath so your core doesn't get cold when you go to the loo
i think they should make them with flaps on the back like old fashioned wild west style long johns , it would make toiletting so much easier :rotfl:0 -

Ooops.
I meant to post this on the heating on or off thread.
However, now I have one i'm also thinking it wouldn't be bad to have one in the car if I got stranded in snow.
They could definitely do with a 'girlie' opening though to make them more convenient.Yep...still at it, working out how to retire early.:D....... Going to have to rethink that scenario as have been screwed over by the company. A work in progress.0 -

What experiment? I am guessing you are turning the heating off for a bit? How long? I might do this with the kids in the New Year to show them how lucky we are to have constant warmth...Confuzzled wrote: »one thing to note with a onsie, you may wish to wear a tshirt or a vest underneath so your core doesn't get cold when you go to the loo

ABSOLUTELY!!! I have always said to people to wear a vest underneath! I had a onesie years ago, before they were popular, when I lived in a freezing flat and going to the loo was awful!
We were discussing it at dinner (!) recently, with friends, and we all said that the design should be improved with regards to a flap/opening so we could go to the loo without freezing.... I suspect this will be available next year so I will wait and buy one thenPutting these winter preps here so I don't forget!

Thank you for the tip about freezing chocolate to aid slimming!
Very, very helpful. :T
I didn't get to the shops yesterday at all but have put suitable items on the shopping list for today and I think I will allow myself to sample small quantities of frozen chocolate at weekends only from now on which I think is a reasonable compromise.Only problem is that I'd planned on keeping it for emergencies and hidden from my DSs which won't work if I know it exists and am having to sample it on the quiet. Maybe I should just experiment with the tastings in January - that should be long enough. :rotfl:
Wish it would stop raining so I can actually face leaving the house to get to the shops...

PC just put some more on the public site, in RED a bit down
Kittie, I'm confused, BBC weather etc aren't really forecasting the same as PC. I haven't taken much notice of PC prior to now, but he seems to have accurately forecasted the recent past storms.
Are we getting rain/storm/wind tonight/tomorrow, then snow for North & East on or after the 2nd?
I'm in the middle bit, on the north west coast of Wales, so snow/snow showers -I think?
I'm most interested in when/if the white stuff will arrive, as I love to look at it, but hate to drive through it.
It's actually sunny and fairly warm here after rain & wind first thing.
No heating & windows open to circulate air for a bit.
Happy New Year to everyone:beer::j0 -
I used to freeze chocolate when I was doing slimming world, made it last longer when I ate it straight from the freezer
I use to freezer Fredd0s & Curly Wurlys (sp?). I'm going to start doing it again in the new year to make what little chocolate I buy last longer.
Hi thought you might like Nigella's

I've made it and it can be eaten straight from freezer:female: INFP :female:0 -
Weather as usual wet and horrible up here, I was muddled with the various forecasts too but will wait and see who was right. Edinburgh Hogmanay isn't cancelled so they must be sure it will be reasonably ok.
But you'd have to be 18 and mad to go in this weather lol0 -

well I did say 20% chance of no snow but it is an R5 period so will be intense weather anyway. I am glad for all those that want/or need to be out and about. I really don`t want to confuse people so will not be posting any more on the potential R factors in 2014. It is quite complicated stuff0 -
Windy Wilson on fb is saying Scotland to get "RAIN OF BIBLICAL PROPORTIONS" lol so I think I'll stay put at the fire ...0

Oh Kittie, I didn't mean anything by it, just wondered if or when it was coming our way, I'm sorry if I sounded like......when were things about to change.......after the warning you directed us to on PC. I have been a long time lurker on this thread, and enjoy your posts immensely.:)
The heavens have opened again here now, and the sky is very dark grey.
I'm going to go away now and quietly read about R factors, and I too would be glad of no snow/ serious flooding/ gales bringing trees down for anyone who has to be out and about.:j0
