The wind has really picked up again tonight. Pleased that my older children have now arrived home from parties safely - with an extra guest, his parents know he's here. So all safe.

LOL - I came on to say the same! Groundhog day says it all :D I am so thankful I don't live somewhere low-lying or prone to flood.

Am busy reorganising my store cupboards and looking at the gaps that need filling. I looked back over another prepping thread and someone mentioned their need for chocolate and, of course, that is one thing that hadn't got put on my list but is essential in a crisis :o when all thoughts of losing weight go out the window.

I'm filling up a drawer of the freezer with essentials that are only to be touched in an emergency (milk, bread, cheese etc) so it will look really boring and shouldn't get raided by my sons and I wondered whether it would be possible secretly to put a few bars of chocolate (dairy milk or mars bars) for medicinal/emergency use only in there as well. Does frozen chocolate defrost into something that looks and tastes normal or does it go funny? (If it gets left in the cupboard someone will find it and it will vanish. :D)

    Ta.

Deep frozen chocolate melts amazingly well into a cup of tea or coffee when you realise there's no choc in the house and the nearest shop is 11 miles away and the road is closed with snow anyway..;)
ask me how I know this :D

:D Thank you! Does it work with mars bars? Maybe, in the interests of planning ahead for major disasters, I should experiment by freezing a variety of chocolate today, defrosting and eating it tomorrow, then beginning the diet on Wednesday. :rotfl:

I used to freeze chocolate when I was doing slimming world, made it last longer when I ate it straight from the freezer ;) I use to freezer Fredd0s & Curly Wurlys (sp?). I'm going to start doing it again in the new year to make what little chocolate I buy last longer.
