    Evening All,
I may be a bit weir but I am quite looking forward to the colder weather! I am a teacher and can't wait for the germs and bugs that have been multiplying since the start of term to be killed off!
I'm not planning on putting the CH on for a month yet (I live by myself so there's nobody else to worry about, I just wrap up) BUT tonight I am resorting to putting the single leccy blanket on the sofa, under a quilt so that I can stay snug while watching Whitechapel!
Stay warm Preppers and keep posting,
    Alice

I got one very like this one http://www.amazon.co.uk/Axentia-251555-Winged-Clothes-Drying/dp/B005AHCDIA/ref=sr_1_10?s=kitchen&ie=UTF8&qid=1381341653&sr=1-10 from Li*dl a while ago (it was around £8 or £9 but £14 isn't too bad!)

I've found it dries stuff much better / quicker than other shapes of airers a
as the things don't overlap at all :D

Thank you for all the airer suggestions going to get one at the weekend. Haven't done the radfleck tonight like I said but just haven't had time tonight. Came home to find one of the dog beds covered in sick so had a lot of cleaning up to do. House still feels warm without heating on.

got my lakeland heated airer today, i probably won't have time to use it til friday as i have a huge to do list for tomorrow but i wondered if any of you could give me pointers for most efficient use?

i know from reading the reviews a few years ago putting a sheet over the top helps, also was i right in remembering that a lot of people did well with laying things over the racks and stacking them rather than hanging them over the rails?

any help would be appreciated, i want to go for most efficient use electricitywise right off the bat

also, how good is it for warming up the room you're in? i'm planning to keep it downstairs for now as it would heat the lounge/kitchen that we're in all the time and we try to keep as much in here as possible as it winds up going up into the bedrooms eventually via the floor anyway but it is HUGE and if it doesn't make much of a difference i may just put it upstairs as our bedrooms are massive and the lounge kitchen aren't (they seriously got their priorities wrong in that dept as far as i'm concerned!)

hope everyone is staying warm and dry, i'm supposed to go to the weekly market tomorrow so i hope that nasty weather that is being forcasted holds off for a bit, the market is so much cheaper than morrisons! :p

Thanks for the reminder about bits for the car.

Lidl do a really good window cleaning spray. It's a blue liquid in a spray bottle. Looks like de icer. It's brilliant stuff.

3 things aim to do this week:
Bulk buy washing powder & dw tablets (anyone know if Ariel biological is on offer anywhere?)
Bulk buy beans, tomatoes and soup (didn't manage that last week)
Get next order for prescription meds in
Must get my act together  Nowt done yet
:) Declutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage

I've got the 5 - 10 radiator pack and I think its should cover the 5 I need to do and have some spare, one radiator is really long and will need more than on sheet, one average sized one up stairs then two tiny ones and one small. Really need to do at least one radiator tonight.

Managed without the heating last night and this morning but temps only droped to 7/8 over night not the predicted drop to 4C. Had to use my warmest coat today due to the icy wind and rain.

We are a bit chilly here today! I wish we'd taken gloves on the school run...

This afternoon I'm hoping DD will have a nap and I'm going to see if I can embroider their initials on their gloves. DS has already had things disappear at school (returned as I did name everything) so I would put money on us going through more gloves than every this winter...

I also plan to get out in the garden today, bedding plants need removing and I have some bulbs to go in for next spring. Might wait till after school as DS likes to help in the garden :A
