Having lived in Edinburgh, in a multiple occupancy building with a single delivery point (yes, they do exist despite your assertion to the contrary) and again Cambridge (in another multiple occupancy building with a single delivery point) I am fully aware of Royal Mail failings.
whoah, you will have to quote me one that one!
none of this post shows me you have any idea what an office that has been 'modernised' has delivered to youPaul_Varjak wrote: »If you had read my post more carefully you will see that I said the OFCOM consultation started less than 3 months ago!
well its kinda hard for them to be in a onsultation process when they werent the regulator for mail
hence the original process started with PostcommThis service is being imposed without proper consideration by OFCOM. The consultation process started less than 3 months ago and ended less than 3 weeks ago. We are given less than 3 postal delivery days to opt out by way of a sticker; a sticker that takes more than 3 days to deliver.
so you werent given 3 days to opt out0 -
well they will be home for their packages then
Custardy! i can't believe you just said that. What an ignorant, horrible thing to say. "Oh disabled people are always in to take their post!"
Well what about doctors/hospital appointments? Or, heaven forbid a friend or relative cares more about them than you do and takes them out?
I've been away for the weekend, but I come back to find you are still spouting aggressive nonsensical garbage. Go and work for the post office you pontificate on all day long and stop yabbering on all day about it here!Because it's fun to have money!

I hope you take note of what everyone is saying custardy. You obviously have a great interest in what I assume was your former work?
I had hoped that you might want to listen to others and what their views are on Royal Mail. We are all Royal Mail 'customers' so we are entitled to our views but you are so blinkered on this internet forum you seem to think that only your views have any relevance.
For whatever reason, you are of a mindset that is not open to the views of others and your response to everyone posting their thoughts in a considered way is to reply with whatever comes into your head that very second. Quite honestly, most of it is complete and utter garbage.
flubberyzing has made a very interesting point but as you added her/him to your ignore list I suggest you un-ignore and listen to what others say - you just may learn something!0 -
Did you miss the opening of the postal market?
What's the postal market?
I hazard to guess at inferior and overpriced postal services or is this incorrect?
Please enlighten me as I don't know what the opening of the postal market is.0 -
:rotfl:As you can see from my signiture below I think soon we all be having trouble posting.....:rotfl::T:rotfl:0

once on ignore,never removed
My views are based on reality.
I note you don't bother replying to any points raised.
I stand by 'customer' apathy
hence why leave with neighbour was a forgone conclusion from the off0 -

The 'market' is he ability to run a rival company to sort and deliver mail
Look at your post
how many have the likes of TNT,dx etc as the company
this is Downstream access mail
originally set up to allow companies to access the postal market with a view to setting up a choice of delivery companies
In reality it meant RM doing the expensive 'final mile' of delivery, with the double edge sword of losing a paying customer and doing this service at a regulated lower rate.0 -

So, you put people on ignore just because they disagree with your views? Kinda proves my point!0 -

This confrontational, unflexible and at times rude attitutude could be at home in any one of the many sorting offices I have ad the mis-pleasure of visiting (when they are open)
It amazes me how public sector roles feel the inability to adopt a customer service attitude in line with modern society and expectations.0
