How much to live on per week

That's brilliant Devildog!
My daughter's flat have been mucking in together on essentials and have shared some meals but aren't as organised as that.
Excellent! Here dead we lie because we did not choose
To live and shame the land from which we sprung.
Life, to be sure, is nothing much to lose,
But young men think it is,
And we were young.

It's been 20+yrs since I last hit the slopes so if I decide to go it will be interesting to say the least lol
She should go for it, great team building/making friends opportunity. I'm hoping to get involved with any overseas trips organised at my own uni as I've got itchy feet and want to go travelling again, so an ideal opportunity for me rather than bumming it around the world alone

I was just thinking I would rather try and get myself back to India before I pop my clogs than go skiing!
That would be great - which country is it likely to be?Here dead we lie because we did not choose

The SR trip is to Val d’ Isere and a bargain price of £350
I must admit, right now I'd prefer something more tropical & exotic

I meant for your over sea's trip.
Girlie went to Val d'Isere last year.
This is with the snow patrol group and is £300 - I forgot to ask where too. Here dead we lie because we did not choose

Must confess I am really suprised especially as the one concerned is usually a faddy eater. You always wonder what sort of flat mates they will end up with but it appears to all be working out fine and obviously there are a couple of students that are well organised and are really doing a superb job (lol and my youngster will not be one of them

My son is lucky enough to have transferred his p/t job to where he is studying. Hes not doing many hours tho, bringing in about £60 a week. However, he has absolutely no idea on how to budget. He only had a small amount left from his loan after paying for halls, which I've taken out of his account and have agreed to tfr an amount weekly (£50). He's probably better off than a lot, but he's wasting his money on taxis and gym and going out from what I can see. How can I get him to budget better? He doesn't have much left in his savings as he's been using that to get through freshers!0

I think all you can really do is advise, some people never learn to budget. How can I get him to budget better? He doesn't have much left in his savings as he's been using that to get through freshers!
At the end of the day it's his money and he will do what he wants with it no matter what you say. Just make it clear to him that you won't bail him out if he's wasted his money and that might make him wake up and realise that he needs to be a bit more careful.0
