Just wondered if the OP woudl tell us if they got a loan they desired.
  • Hello again.

I did get a loan yes, but from the bank of mum and dad. Not enough for all my plans, but enough to get a few panels which had flaws re done. The colour change full spray is on hold.
  • Well done you! If you can't get it from a High Street Lender then beg for the parents' hard-earned savings! I'm all for that! Nice one!

I once drove through a place where it seemed your amount of "street-cred" was directly linked to the amount of headlights you could get onto a Fiesta. How many have you got?
  • Well done, I say. You're right to have a passion. Many unfortunates in your position would be happy to addle their minds on drink and drugs but not you. You're into taking a pile of crap car and sticking a massive exhaust on the back with an unaffordable loan. 'Broom, broom' you'll go, as if to say 'i'm the chaviest chav that ever chavved, look at me, world. Wonderful.

    Still not the best move.

If you have a low income and £4k on credit cards then things aren't looking good for you.

Now you have more debt and an ageing Ford Fiesta TDCi.

When young, a loan for a car if you have at least 33% deposit and the means to pay it back easily - I am not against, I did it myself but wouldn't do it now.

To have a car that you claim is worth £3.5k, £4k on CC's then you want to borrow £3k to chav the car up is madness.

Yeah its for a respray and some other modifications. I've got my heart set on it and already picture it sitting in the drive. A lot of you wont understand but cars are my life.

Well forget the loan, and start saving.

It will take longer, but you will get there eventually if you put so much away each month.

You also have to consider what the value of the car will be once the work has been done. If it isn't going to be worth at least £8k, then it's not worth doing.

It will still be worth what it was before the mods, rarely do they add value and often narrow the market when selling.
  • I WANT a loan for a new car also.

But I have no way of paying it back, so I just get on with it, some people thinking they are entitled to a loan annoy me.

One day when you're older and wiser you will wonder why you wasted all that money ;)

Now that is a post i agree with. not quite sure how some people think they are entitled to a loan, might be the credit history is squeaky clean they think lenders should bow to them.
