You need £3K for things for your car which is worth £3500 ? Give your head a shake lad.

Yeah its for a respray and some other modifications. I've got my heart set on it and already picture it sitting in the drive. A lot of you wont understand but cars are my life.

Each to their own I suppose, but I would say something like that would be better to save for, rather than getting into £3k of debt to sit and look at something on your drive.

So now we get down to the nitty gritty of it. Ask yourself is it essential ? Answer is no, the car will still run fine as it is, in the mean time save up for it.

Well no, it's not essential to anyone on the outside, but to me it is if you see what I mean.

I'd love to have the means to save up for it. If I'd never racked up the damn credit cards I'd have limit left to whack the costs on them.

Your're an idiot. Buy a tin of gloss from BandQ for £20 if you want to paint your car, and learn how not to spend money you don't have.

The same money you haven't got to save with, is the same money you will need to repay a loan with.

I take pride in what I drive, too; so much so that there are 2 Jags under a year old on my drive.

I saved for them, though! Suggest you do the same :)

Well your going to have to choose, pay off debts or paint the car, yes i understand how it can be essential to some people but you need to be realistic.

If you don't have the means to save up for it - then how were you going to afford the repayments on the loan each month?
