The kids have walked to school again, im not feeling so paniced about it now. I have also had the food shop delivered first thing so the children could help me get it away before school.
Thank you all for your help yesterday.
Now just in a panic about money due to being off work
I didn't want to say yesterday because I didn't want to put you off going to A+E but I did the same late last year. Twisted it when I fell down the stairs whilst hoovering. I was in tears with the pain but it wasn't broken, very swollen though, just try and keep the weight off it and put some ice packs on, mine was swollen for a long time but I was okay to get about after about a week. Agony for the first few days, though. Hope you feel better soon.0 -

that doesn't sound like you Kimberley - are you okay?
The kids are 10 and 8 - the OP trusts them to be sensible on the walk to school. At that age I would too.0 -
As you have said your children are both very sensible and have also proved this by remembering to call you once they arrived a school.
As others have said I would get that ankle looked at as soon as possible.0 -

What a silly, alarmist comment!
If you meant to be ironic a smilie would have helped; you couldn't have been serious. Could you? :cool:Member #14 of SKI-ers club
Words, words, they're all we have to go by!.

glitter_fairy wrote: »will they do that? I dont really use taxis but thought maybe they wouldnt due to worrying about you running off with out paying
Bless you, you're not in a position to run anywhere anyway! I am sure the taxi driver will realise you're genuine. Don't forget to let us know how you got on and I hope the ankle gets better soon.
NB: A bag of cheap peas makes an excellent ice pack - don't put in direct contact with the skin, wrap the bag in a tea towel, don't use for more than ten mins and a time and refreeze when they thaw. Just mark the bag though so you don't go and serve them up for tea at a later date when you're better.0
