Do you have a class PTA rep? They normally know everyone and might know someone who is going back your way and can take the kids with them. Most people are always willing to help when they know someone is having a hard time.
I have no idea but I will ask. I hadnt even thought of that.0 -
Really good way to break the ice with neighbours? Don't ask someone to take you, ask if they know of any neighbours who might be free to take you.
I work from home, and if I could I would be delighted to help a neighbour out. If I couldn't (I schedule a lot of conference calls), I know who of my neighbours might be free and willing to do so.
(and I think your kids will feel dead chuffed and grown up when they get home! big milestone for them so you should be a proud mum!)
Hope ankle improves - remember RICE - Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation.0 -
They got there ok and rang you as agreed. They sound like very sensible kids. Agree that you should get your ankle seen to as soon as you can but am sure they will ok coming home - your 10 year must be in last year surely so might like a little bit of responsibility. I know when I was that age then being 'in charge' of my little brother made me feel very grown and I would take it very seriously!0

10 year old is in year 5 he is only just 10. I guess they are pretty much ready to do it. Its something I have thought about I guess I just wanted it to be a planned thing not something they had to do. mummy guilt will get me every time lol. They are sensible children and I know they will look out for each other.0 -

And that is a complete credit to you and shows you're a great mum! Try not to feel guilty about something that can't be helped x0 -

I've never encountered a taxi driver who has had a problem with doing that. Many people ask taxis to stop at cashpoints to get the money out to pay the fare anyway.0
