If your ankle is as bad as you say i think they will see you wont be running anywhere hun
Have got a taxi to stop at a cash point many times, now go and get your ankle seen to! x0 -
The nights are still light, the oldest is 10 - it might be an opportunity to let the children walk home themselves.
I can understand your worries, though.Member #14 of SKI-ers club
Words, words, they're all we have to go by!.
(Pity they are mangled by this autocorrect!)0 -
Do you actually think they are in danger? They seem to face copied well so want it such a bad thing? My 9yo has stated taking the bids on his own. It involves a 30 mns journey and cruising the main road of the town which is a significant size. it certainly want an easy decision to make but it is working out brilliantly. He loves it and has shown to be very mature and responsible about it. He has been walking into town with his step sister who is 18 months older since he was 7. its ask about whether they are capable of it or not.0

Haha, what an over-dramatic title!
Call a taxi company and explain, I am sure they will be sympathtic and can help sort out the payment issue. Also, go and get your ankle sorted!
Good luck.Thinking critically since 1996....0 -
I think your children will both be very proud of themselves when they get home today after school
. And you should be a proud mum too, okay the circumstances weren't what you would have planned, but they are fine walking to and from school together without you.
Its still light when they are leaving school for the day, so just like this morning, they'll be fine getting home too.0 -
Sorry, but I would be 'phoning my husband and getting him to take me to hospital and collect the kids.
Is he contactable?0 -

Its his second day at a new job so he cant come home0 -
Yes, absolutely no need to DH to come home - I would do the taxi/cashpoint thing, or see if you can prepay by card over the phone.
I'm sure by the end of today you'll feel a lot better when you see how you sorted it all out.I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -
They dont think its broken but never saw a dr in A & E plus they lost my notes they think its a torn ligament.
The kids have walked to school again, im not feeling so paniced about it now. I have also had the food shop delivered first thing so the children could help me get it away before school.
Thank you all for your help yesterday.
Now just in a panic about money due to being off work
