By the way, it took me 3 tries to finally kick the habit. You might manage better than me but if you don't then don't beat yourself up
Thank youHere comes the pro-giving-up-smoking woman
I think I come across like a born again religious person wanting to spread the good news - I'm sure it must be annoying really!
Anyway, it's quite tricky if someone else buys your ciggies for you, they should be kind to you and stop doing that!
It will save them a packet (sorry lol) and save your health
I gave up when it was a fiver for a packet and now it's about 7 quid isn't it!
I think over the 8 years I haven't spent over £17,000 on cigs and haven't smoked 58,000 cigs
I like lists and tidying up too so appreciate your posts!
I don't iron though, not sure how I get away with that!....and it took me quite a few tries to give up too...if at first you don't succeed, try and try again
Well tomorrow I'm going to try (No I'm going to do it!)0 -
Good luck!!

Not a wink of sleep!
Today's plan is out the window and I'm going spending the day at a friend's. Need the company and someone to listen. Just waiting on the kids (or I will wake them at 7.30ish) Then off we go!0 -

Hey HI.
I gave up smoking just over 2 years ago without any major withdrawls. All i did was read Allen Carrs 'Easyway to stop smoking' book. Jeez, i sound like a spammer dont i, LOL, but honest i am not! I just know it worked for me.
You can get the book from Amazon very cheap, or look in your local library
Good luck!0 -
Thank you for the replies
DS is full of a nasty cough and has been up and down the past 2 nights. Always when there's so much to do you get a sick child lol!
Not much to update money wise. Looking over Decembers budget looking likely I'll have to defer debt repayments and start a fresh in Jan when C should have a full wage and I will be straight with the things I'm behind with now. Still aiming to be clear by next Xmas even though I will have delayed starting paying them by 2 months
Hope all is well x0 -
Hi HI,
Hope DS feels better soon, there's so much carp going about at the moment, hope both you and he get some sleep
I just spotted where your location is, I'm originally from Up North but moved down South
Well done on thinking about giving up smoking, I think you can do it if you want to do it but I know it's not easy...DH is still on the gum lol0
