Ok the car is mobility so no tax/insurance/maintenance etc. The debts are 0% because all 3 are friends and have the interest added on the balance.

Aiming to be done and dusted for the 8th November 2013!

Look forward to catching up with everyone again :D x

Great to see a new diary, I shall subscribe and pick up tips as you have done it before you can surely do it again and I might learn from you on the way. Well done on tackling it before it gets out of hand.
:) Been here for a long time and don't often post
  • I was just thinking about you yesterday and wondering if you were OK. Happy new diary :)

  • I hope you don't mind me asking? but i don't understand how you have accumulated debts of £5k+, plus you have lost or spent your savings? in such a short space of time, according to your previous posts and diaries? You were debt free, mortgage free, had savings. None of it makes any sense?

How have you spent thousands of pounds in the space of what, 2 or 3 weeks? I'm not being judgemental, i'm just curious, and it may help with your ability to control your finances in the bigger picture of things?

Sadly somethings can't be controlled like relationship breadowns, where all savings have been put into a house which ofcourse will take time to sort out :(

However the last partner was earning £60k plus so surely the OP should be able to get her money back quick without having to borrow off friends?

Anyway, what I meant to post was you should be getting HB I would think on your low earnings also CT reduced?

Sorry I forgot I hadnt updated over the other thread about that. I'm not with him anymore and was far from a "nice" split. The savings he "borrowed" because mine where instant access where his arent for some things that needed paying for the house building to go ahead. So I emptied mine on the thought it was coming back when hsi transfered out 3-5 days later. It didnt happen.

The debts came from relocating again 300 miles back to where I moved from, moving costs/furniture/decorating. A few things I had got behind on from before I moved away.

I cant get HB because of the working tax credits, I do get discounted CT but I owe arrears.

Oh and just to add the 5K isnt what I've actually borrowed more than half that is interest payments ie. the £2800 was for £1400 I borrowed to move. £1200 was a £500 borrowed and same for the other £1200.
  • Hello all hope all is well :)

Grocery shop today spent £27 but some things will last over next week too (nappies, wipes mainly) Will probbaly spend another £6-£8 this week on milk and bread. Still under budget though :)
