Hi HI, you are as bad as me!! I get up and do a bit of housework, then come back here to read a bit more, then go and do a bit of housework, then come back and rad a bit more!

Wouldnt be so bad if the housework bits werent 10mins and the MSE bits half an hour, LOL!!

I'm done now it only took me all day :rotfl:
  • Okay so I'm back from staying the night away, until tomorrow I'm away again. At least its free food/heating and the kids can enjoy long hot baths splashing bubbles around (easily pleased)

Today has been a bad and hectic day all in one. Something happened this evening that has give me a BIG wake up call, I can't (won't) post what but tonight has made me "buck up" and made me think !!!!!! have I been doing, so so stupid. Anyway back onto the point. I am going to knuckle down, do as much "extra" earning as I possibly can get this debt paid off/save some money and get the hell outta here to somewhere nice for just me and the kids. I have never been more focused than I am now. If you see me posting about wanting to spend on something silly and not need get me told off! :naughty:

Hectic side of things today? Well first off I have been offered a different job, that's better money but a lot longer hours/further away to travel etc and mean I would see childcare go to 5 full days a week for both kids. I am going speaking to them Monday but don't think this is the best option right now  Then kids up showered fed pack up come home. Clean up when knock knock oh dear BIL and SIL here :eek: Then just as they where leaving (Yes nearly 4 hours later ) Other BIL turned up. I was not prepared for A: Visitors B: Kids running riot all afternoon destroying my house :rotfl: Anyway back to normal returned at 6.30pm until the above disaster hit. So yes not a fab day.

Oh dear this turned into a very long rant :o

    • Pop over to Asda why I'm near get the 4 things on my list only to get us through to next Thurs without shopping
    • Drop in get DS hair cut
    • Back over to where I'm staying and sit and do a proper budget from payday Oct-Nov

Sat & Sun meal plan now moved to Mon/Tues because we are away over the weekend so free food etc :D

It does it saves a lot of money and time :) When I fist started on here I fed me and the kids of £50 a month. Now though my budget includes nappies/wipes/eating out etc not just food which is why it's higher :) Popping over to the Oldstyle board they have lots of fab ways of getting the grocery side of things way down x

Also yes I'm okay just had a big smack in the face with some stuff and realized I need to get my priorities sorted
    Thank you for asking :)

I've been Money Tipped! Debt-free and Proud!
Good morning HI, you were up late last night/this morning!

Meal planning is the best thing ever, and has saved me loads of money and time. I love it now, and also have started to batch cook.

Re your post about having your kick up the bum moment- i too had one of those a few weeks ago. I was wondering why things arent getting any better financially since i have cut down how much i am spending...but i wasnt being 100% honest with myself, as i wasnt including the money i was spending on ebay, as a 'treat'..D'oh!

Anyway, i will definitely do as you have asked, and tell you off if i see you talking about spending anything. LOL!

    Have a great day!
  • Thank you WantToBeSE :)

I'm actually ok with the money front because I still have no bank card for my account. So to get money out I have to transfer it then draw it from a different account. So no spending when I shouldn't be. The things I do slip on is if I have planned something and there "change" I spend it on the kids :o

The kick up the bum has defiantly put prospective on what is important and what isn't.

Today I'm staying away again, the cleanings done at home etc.

Although I'm short for something that I forgot needed paying before I get paid. So need to borrow today until Thurs/Friday but won't set me back because its budgeted for out of money at the end of the week. Also need to pop in the phone shop because my phone took a bath in my drink :o

Decided the job isn't the right thing to do right now. It would mean being up and the kids and dressed etc out the door for 4.30 am, find someone to watch them until 7.30 when nursery opened and drop them in for me every day. Money wise I'd be about £40 a week better off, which would be great obviously but I don't think its worth upsetting the kids etc for it.

Also need to contact the provident agent and ask to collect Thursdays rather than Tuesdays, so I can make sure we are home for her. I must not forget!

    Hey!

Good for you on the job front - its all too easy to be attracted by extra money - but one reason you are doing this challenge of paying your debts off because of your kids x

I hope your kick up the jacksy wasn't too harsh...mine this week was certainly a tool of focus!

Hello all hope all is well?

Home now and got lots of cleaning to do, as well as bath the kids and catch up the weekends ironing.

Seen a house I like, that would stop alot of hassle I have now, but really unsure what to do.
