    Hi All
A late post from me, but have been very busy. Hubby dug over the front flower bed, well weed bed really, lol. Covered it in weed proof fabric, planted a row of Lavender & then laid bark chippings all over it.
My DD used controlled crying with her son, & I had quite an argument with the health visitor about it, I felt she pressurised my DD into it at a very inconvenient time, there were 7 of us squashed into a 3 bed house, me & hubby, DD & her hubby plus baby & DS & his gf, it took 6 weeks of hours of crying & screaming throughout the night. This made life very difficult for those of us who had get up for work every morning I really believe it could have been left for 9 weeks till they were back in their own place, but the health visitor was insistant that it had to be done immediately!
Hugs to those who need them

    Aaaahhh!

That made me smile - worth waiting for? Well, clearly it was since he is now BF. Still remember my first kiss with DH (after I had just walked into a lamppost) - all that long time ago! :o

Purpleprincess - go you. Shows all the hard work was worth it. :T

    Just notice - congrats on the 3 stars mrs_mix (blabbermouth ;) )

    Hi you all

Thought being on holiday would get me updated with you all. Not the case! DH had to get antibiotics yesterday for chesty thing so repaired back to bed for the day (where our computer is!!!). I got my hair semi-permanent colour today plus trim then came home to make a big pot of soup from the chicken bones had left overnight in the SC to make stock. Also made a veggie lasagne (which will do tomorrow plus freeze 2 portions) as had veg to use up.

The sun has had it's hat on here in South-east Scotland. Garden in real need of tlc but phone call when out today so say my rings have been resized. Thought it was going to take 2 weeks. Can't wait to get the wedding ring back on tomorrow - now almost a year since I had to take it off but just lazy not taking to Jeweller's to be sorted. Not looking forward to parting with just over £100 to get all my rings re-sized but have really missed wearing them. Hopefully will be able to start sorting garden out tomorrow afternoon. Last summer's skeleton bedding plants still there. Hopefully once they come out and I trim down the fuschias things will look a lot better.

Lots of love and hugs to all, and hope to catch up with everything going on soon. Fat chance - have boys for 3 nights next week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Love

Edit - we seem to have loads of ladybirds - had to avoid them on the path today. Does that mean we are going to be inundated with greenfly? DGSs love ladybirds (as did DD) so I think we will be on ladybird hunts next week. We put them on the solar lights for examination but let them go! I seem to remember putting ladybirds in a jar with privet when I was wee (50 years ago!).

    Good evening everyone,

GB - i remember collecting ladybirds in a jamjar when i was little, might have to do that with my DD this weekend, mind you, havnt spotted any here as yet, but hopefully we will if we go looking.

purple princess - glad things are going ok, enjoy your trip around Europe!!!!

Well, i am now on holiday until the 16th April (similar to youtru!!!) - and boy, am i ready for the break!!! Been busy today, only had the LO here, so we did colouring and cornflake cake making - also gave her her Easter pressie, a bean bag Lightening McQueen (her favourite thing in the world) and her mum said it looks like being the favourite thing shes going to get this year for Easter (including the chocolate), which is nice. I also made pizza for dinner, plus a load of little ones, which i freeze and then take out for my 2s packed lunches, and also a cake, which i still need to make the butter icing for. It fell apart when i took it out of the tin - my cakes always do, even though i butter and flour the tin - anyone got a foolproof way of getting a cake out of a tin? But, i dont mind, the cake wont last long, and it breaks when you eat it!!!!
DS is still outside with his friends, ive been letting him have a bit more freedom, he goes across the road to call on his friends now on his own, i still worry, but i know he is fine. DD is here witrh me, she was hogging the computer for the last few hours, so i had a bath and now ive asked for a go!!!
Right, need to whip the hoover around and make this icing.
Hope everyone has a lovely evening - im happy, my fav program is on tonight - House, channel 5 at 9!!
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

What on earth is controlled crying. DGSs 4 and 2 and haven't come across that one. Sleep training yes which I thought a bit harsh but actually did work so will go with that one! I never had to do it as we were very rigid in the bedtime routine - no babies after 7 pm and in their own room! Different era I suppose.

You sound as though you are having an awful time. I would have him for a couple of nights but you are too far away sweatheart. See my post to Hardup Hester - I haven't heard of controlled crying. Is it like the sleep training my DD did with boys when about 5-6 months old?

    Love and hugs and sympathy.

Well no stovies for tea tonight, mum took over tomato soup, so had that with bread, wasnt really in mood for cooking tonight:rolleyes:

Lo has been up already, put him down at 6.30, think i will have to do controlled crying, leave that to next week when dh has week off though.

Grannybroon - thanks for the offer, its basically getting lo to settle to bed and when he wakes up for him to settle again without me, ds2 was exactly the same, he only slept right through when he was 5! have no idea how we manged then.

    Hugs

This sounds horrendous. Didn't have it with our two or then with DGSs. Hopefully not when DGS3 arrives!! Sure DD will deal with it. So sorry you are going through this. What were you like as a baby? Is it an inherited thing?

Your Mum is fab and giving you support. Glad to hear your brother coming home on leave especially after the sailors!!

Try and get an early night.

    Love and hugs
