Weeks Bargain Offers and Glitches - Best Buys Under £1

There are a few now here who donate to Charities and Food Banks etc., so this thread is aimed at maximising spends on goods to donate. It will also help (hopefully) others on a budget or just looking for bargains.
The reason for keeping it for spends under £1 is so as to get a fair bit to share out, more cheaper items should enable to provide for more rather than more expensive items for just a few.
Items free or near free with the use of coupons will also be of maximum benefit.
Obvious starters are:
Free tins of Heinz 5 Beanz using coupons
Green's Products using coupons
Aldi and Lidl Biscuits (Rich Tea, Custard Creams etc.)
Sainsbury's Tea Bags - 29p
ASDA Tins of Mushy peas - 4p
Just a starter, looking forward to the "bargains".

quintwins - thanks for that, it looks store specific but would love to grab some pears - they are so expensive now!!
Oats so simple are £1 in Morries "Better than half-price" offer, so free when using the £1 Quaker Oats coupon (2 per pc) and 50p with the 50p coupons (ends 30/09).
It's porridge time, so stock up!!
Morries never had any of the 20p soups.

Hi Lynsey, I got tinned pears in a Tesco Extra today, Pear quarters, 15p for a largish can. Pear halves were 57p!
Also: 2 packs of garlic and coriander naan breads for 26p (fresh chiller cabinet next to the curries / ready meals, not the ones they have near the deli/takeaway) Ken Hom egg fried rice (fresh) 52p (usually £1 something).
I noticed that they had everyday value mixed herbs for 9p per pot which I thought was good and value spag bol in a tin for 24p which I though would be good for donation as a complete meal.
I think things like the value toothpaste, shaving foam, toothbrushes (all at around 25p) would be good things to donate too.0 -
obviously theres a huge choice of value products out there
tesco express(not sure if store specific) had the heinz squeezy soups for 30p perfect for people that have no real cooking facilities just add boiling water. tastes more luxurious than cup a soups and is 1 of your 5 a daythis year do something that scares you for courage is not the absence of fear just the knowledge that some things are worth the risk0 -
I think this thread is a brilliant idea, because I loathe shopping and have very limited tastes myself, but would quite happily put a few bargains in my basket for others if I know what I'm looking for.DONT BREED OR BUY WHILE HOMELESS ANIMALS DIE. GET YOUR ANIMALS NEUTERED TO SAVE LIVES.0

What a great idea for a thread Lynsey. I was thinking the same once we met on the charity thread as you say the more you can get the more people you can help.
I haven't anything to offer at the moment as we're waiting on payday (wed :j) but will hopefully have bargains to share soon. Thanks for the tip on the porridge. I forgot I had those coupons until I was getting some out my folder for my step-brother and brother. SB is going to uni and DB has just moved out into a flat with his gf so it's all helping them too.:TTOTAL DEBT £12,212.46/£2000 paid offDebt Free Goal September 2017#106 Emergency Fund £482.53/£10000 -
cherrypies - I'll be checking my Tesco Express later (fingers crossed).
Toiletries is another area and Sod's Law, but generally there is a "glut" of toiletries and household items and fewer food coupons. Still happy with the food coupons that are readily available at the moment and in combination with the offers. Long may it last.
Mrs Toast - hopefully we can all help each other and even if we come up with only a few items/suggestions each, it will give options and ideas.
I'm trying build up a charitable "stash" and simply keep adding with the "finds".
