I have one, I love it it makes joints of meat go sooooooooo much further I used to spend a fortune each week on o/h sandwich fillings, now I slow cook a joint of whoopsied beef and slice it up and freeze in sandwich portions, next week I will do the same with a gammon, then a boneless turkey crown, they are fiddly to clean, I keep a toothbrush which I dip in milton fluid to clean the nooks and crannies

I got my in argos it was half priced around £17 2-3 years ago

I also slice iceberg lettuces, blocks of cheese, onions amongst other things :)

I had a really good one as my dad used to have a restaurant but it broke a few months back, I was gutted.

The one good thing that has come from it is that it stops me buying half a Parma ham joint for £80 a throw now!!

Just back from SW weigh-in and got my 4 stone award and reached my target (for now anyway, may lose another half stone in a few months)

I would never push anyone to lose weight if they don't want to, but the SW diet is amazing and I'm so glad I finally found something that works without having to be hungry. :D

No, Mr A, that is NOT 'Great news'!!:D

    Wombling totals: Oct = £243.32 - £93.32 over target!
Nov Wombling Tally: £27.36 so far... behind target :(

Please help, fella was trying to change oil filter in my 2006 clio and touched the alternator with the tool. It sparked and so did the battery. Now the car is dead it will not start and even the lights will not turn on. Checked fuse all seem ok. We think the battery could be flat but we have charged it and still nothing not even a sound from the starter motor not sure if it is charging correctly. Any help would be good.

    Dont panic , Nothing major

    Its probably a dirty connection

He probably shorted out a connection, either from the battery to the vehicle, which is the earth terminal or the positive from the battery to the supply but probalby the earth.

Try putting a heavy duty wire from the negative (earth) on the battery to a clean metal part of the engine.
Try that and if it works thats whats wrong (bad/dirty connection)

if not it could be the wire he hit from the alternator to the battery.

Am hoping there are some interesting new items available from tomorrow. Am bored of the usual ones now. Haven't gone mad and have no JF products as we don't use them. Haven't been into A for a few days.

Do you know what that is exactly how I feel;)Used an APG tonight and it was dated the 13th:eek:I have done the odd one lately but there is only so much stuff you can get and personally I won't put myself above the radar for stuff I don't particularly want.I have'nt done any JF either as we don't use it although I will confess to having a "lot" of tresemme;)

ive had this before - i advertised the backbox off an old car for £90 and recieved a cheque for £2500  the hardest part was trying to get the cheque out my mums hands, as we had the same initials think she was hoping the cheque was for her from a long lost relative :rotfl:after explaining to her and showing her emails from the buyer she was then on the phone to the police and bank lol i wouldnt say any of which was bothered though they just said not to cash it

FK - This one is about a paypal scam but does have some similarities to your friends situation, might be worth a read.

EDIT: sorry have seen that many people have posted much more useful posts that explain this, pls ignore.
Sadly as they seem to have been doing this for a while would suggest that they have scammed quite a few people.

Sorry but is it not about time we left this and moved on!
Its easy to pick on some body all night, but it seems to verge on bullying:p

I don't think theres any bullying going on - they are just discussing the point perhaps at lenght and perhaps off topic but it is quite interesting, to me at least.

    TIA

    Evening all :):)

Hi Frequent :D and Loc :D

Hi I am still waiting for mine for Friday and a couple of other posters are too I think. I keep checking but not a sausage as yet. Are you waiting for one? xxx
Can I just ask if you guys do this all online or in store or both?

My preffered shop was online however now with the cap to £15 and your minimum spend is £25 plus delivery it is not as good an option now. xxx

Miss Laid, is this the one you have?

    http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/4228211/Trail/searchtext%3EFOOD+SLICER.htm

Reviews all seem to focus on the need to have three hands to operate it...

Yes thats the one, I don't find it difficult, ok you have to keep 1 hand on the switch (which is a good thing with a whizzing blade) the trick is NOT to use it like a bacon slicer in the supermarket and try and whizz through the joint of meat, do it slower slice by slice, I'm not a massive person and I find it very easy to operate.

it's confusing as everything looked the same to me when i first started buying dental, what exactly are you wanting- mouthwash , toothpaste or toothbrushes??

there are 2 types of shops you could do, my favourite is the A vs T because the 6 pack of zigzag toothbushes are in the offer and i think these are great value for [STRIKE]free[/STRIKE] money you are paying:D:p also you don't have to but the steradents ;)
