please correct me i'm wrong but I'm convinced that when the majority of the posters on this thread shopped at T's there wasn't post and posts of shopping iist after shopping list , now with people changing their alligiance to Asda for a brief moment it seems as though posting a list of a shopping is a requirement to a reply .

Is there any reason behind this ?

    Just wondering . :)
I'm pretty sure that whenever there is a decent glitch or offer (body shop, Tesco toys) posters discuss what they bought. This glitch is on the same scale as dtd during which pages upon pages were shopping lists. It helps oto inform other posters of which items still work and give ideas for others' lists.

    It's only a game

Do you ever go there in the evenings? I used to go on a Wednesday and there were a few faces I'd see each week....wondering if one of them was you :)

There is one SA .....middle aged blonde lady who is the most miserable old trout I've ever come across. Even if it's normal shopping without a voucher in sight, she grunts and tuts the whole time she's serving you. Really shouldn't be front line as she's no people skills whatsoever. I've had her refuse to accept vouchers too so avoid her like the plague!

Where do you get these scanner things ? How long have they had them there?
I might just have to take a trip there tomorrow evening ;)

Nope, not me. Not sure I know who you mean, there are many trouts in that store!

The scanners are right as you walk through the door, had them there a week but yesterday was the first day to use them :D I had fun

My cereal didn't compare today (it was the milk chocolate one) so I'd avoid that. ;)

  • I like the sound of this

Customers will also be able to use a new scanning system so they will not need to pass items through tills. They will be able to scan their products as they put them into bags in their trolleys and then pay at the end.

    Edit: Beaten to it

I used the scanners at my local t's yesterday. Good fun! You can scan as much as you want then just delete it if you wanted a price enquiry. Anything that doesn't scan you leave at the front of your trolley and the SA will do it at the end, then it uploads to the tills and pay as normal. Great stuff and made the DD actually want to sit in the trolley for a change! Saves the massive queues and hassle of coupons/reduced items/ glitches:D happy camper

We've got these at our store. It is quick and easy, but you don't get till spits so I still have to go through a normal till occasionally to find out what I'm missing.

I can see no reason why an APG thread can't be started in Grabbit!?

And I can see no reason why general chit chat cant be moved to say the moneysavers arms?:p

Sadly no purr therapy at the moment, I'm at work (not that you'd think it :rotfl:) And no help from anyone here as most of them need therapy themselves!
But I'm going to listen to the wise words of fourp, think of the support of you guys and go and get a latte and eat my little Snickers peanut butter square that someone bought back from America for me! And breathe... :)

    Hi fourp

Peeps do post shopping list after shopping list for the equivalent T jtd shops, it's just that they have a separate thread specifically for this on Grabbit, so you probably don't see them? A similar separate thread was requested for APG but it has not been allowed, and I am not sure where else on MSE folk can/should go for help and input on this. So I think for the duration of the glitch it will remain here, unless MSE can reconsider and allow a thread on Grabbit. Over exposure is hardly an issue any longer and would not be a driver for MSE, so there are other reasons for the decision.

I think it is important for MSEers to be able to get help on this as it can and does make a very real difference to peeps grocery bills when many are struggling. It won't last forever .......

I agree with you Rooted Nomad that people need help and reassurance in getting their shops correct , that's the purpose of certain threads within MSE , but what I can't get my head around is why it's on a thread that's in the ' expired ' section when it's obviously up and running .
Surely if MSE want to cater to the masses then wouldn't it reach a wider audience on the front page where all and sundry (and many more in need) would see it .
I was young once , now I get older all the time .
