  • Morning all,

Work is crazy at the moment and it's only going to get worse over the next month! I feel as if I'm limping towards the weekend. Thank God it's Friday, eh? The best thing I can do fabbing wise is get some sleep, and I plan to catch up on it this week.

Plans this weekend include wrapping up in all the clothes I own and getting up off my bum and going for a walk. Going out with a friend tomorrow night, so Sunday morning I'll probably have a lazy day.

I really need to get organised for Christmas. Been lurking on the Grabbit board again, but not seeing any deals that take my fancy. How are you all getting on?
Not buying any more 1.)books 2.)toiletries, esp. LUSH! 3.)stationery, unless absolutely necessary!

Hardly any xmas prep done here. In my decluttering I've unearthed some unused bits/presents to give to people (but not much). I'm determined not to be seduced by it this year and only buy stuff that I need or love for me or others.

    Best of luck today Eh.

Had a bit of a miserable week in that I've been under the weather. Still managed the gym though. Didn't manage to henna my hair but working from home on Monday so I can have it on then.

Hugs to everyone who's having a tough time.

  • Thanks lovelies.

Have left work with no redundancy letter but 2 bottles of wine (to drown my sorrows!) The way it has been handled is appalling and a complete lack of communication!

    But onwards and upwards!

    Ehxx
  • Hey all. I know it's a bit late to be joining, but I'm in such a state. Motherhood has left me with manky hair, horrible nails and a saggy c-section belly. I need to fab up desperately!

    Hi all,

EH - hope you're ok hun, am sure something else will come up soon x

bratz - hope you're feeling bit better x

Well - I finished Nano last night :j so am feeling quite happy about that. Just need to get it edited and tidied up and then it can be sent off. Going to leave it for the weekend though, I need to do edits and a bit of a rewrite on the anthology one, and my editor wants that by the end of tomorrow so rush, rush! Also need to get back on with the dissertation so hopefully can blitz that a bit this weekend.

I have the choir xmas night out tonight. Am feeling a bit bettern as I tried on a skirt I've had in the wardrobe for ages last night and it does actually fit so think will wear that - it's a 3/4 length and is like a patchwork effect of different shades of grey and silver velvets so it's quite nice. Not sure what to wear with it - have a feeling will be quite warm in the actual place but will be freezing going there and back. Definately winter weather today - the canal outside my house is frozen over!

Christmas-wise, am getting a bit more organised. Cashed out my cashback and survey sites into Amazon vouchers so that will help with costs a bit. Got some really cute santa and snowman painted glasses in a charity shop today so thinking can fill them with sweets or choccies and will do for little token gifts for people. OH's birthday next week as well though and have no idea what to get him!

Anyways, best go and sort my nails out for tonight. Hope everyone's having a good day x
  • Walk done today. I really wasn't feeling up to it but dog was going stir crazy!

Because of all the decluttering, including clothes, today I saw a friend and I was able to easily choose what I had to wear. It was a relaxed process with no fuss. I could probably do with some new bits but its beginning to feel that I'm making better use of what I have now :)

Ate a bit better today too. Thought I'm not enjoying this so I won't eat much of it. Must make sure I'm busy over the weekend so I don't stuff myself.

    Keep fabbing

Can't stop - have a houseful of visitors - mum and sister here for the weekend with dog in tow.

Not a brilliant day - shattered at the end of the week, arrive home to find visitors already here, no chance to even change before they got here, been force fed a takeaway I didn't really want and chocolate:( The only saving grace is that I put half of my curry and naan bread in the fridge before mum spotted it so only ate half. You'd swear I was an anorexic wasting away waif by the way mum goes on!

Teeny bit of good news - finished the 100K walk/run in November challenge today - scraped in with 102km done:j:j

Bracing myself for a shopping marathon tomorrow - hate shopping, grrr!
  • Morning all,

I slept in until 6:30 today! Usually I wake up at 5 at the weekends  Anyway, my mission to catch up on sleep this weekend is GO! I can't go through another week feeling/looking/acting like a zombie.

EH - well done for going in yesterday and doing what you had to do. I think you are right to feel angry at the way you have been treated. At least now you're out of that environment and can look for something more positive. Well done on the wine front!!

Pod - congrats on finishing Nano a DAY EARLY! You crazy girl, that's brilliant. How do you feel about what you've written?

Your chocolates idea sounds lovely - very Christmasy!

WW - you are such a walking ninja!!! Well done. Do you feel a bit fitter?

I can't believe November has gone by already!! I'm not going to panic. There's plenty of time until Christmas...

Fabbing wise, I feel like a bit of a wreck at the moment so I need to get on that and pamper myself a bit this weekend.
