How frustrating for your son, Lizzie. No wonder he is feeling despondant.
Fantastic picture of you and your daughter, Mooloo! I didn't see the 'before' so can't comment on changes, but you look great!!
Skipped the gym again today. Only got to sleep around 1:30am due to small child being awake in the night again. Already did one session and the gym on 4.5 hours sleep this week and really couldn't bring myself to do it a second time! Think my body appreciated the extra hour of sleep I had instead.
Been testing out some of my new contact lenses today. Not perfect - I'm still aware that they are there (not uncomfortable but stills feels like there's something in my eye and a bit dry) but a definite improvement on the old ones. Got 10 hours out of them without having to use eye drops whereas would get around four out of the others. Still got a different pair again to try which are supposed to be better still so hopeful they will suit.
Remembered hair down and lip gloss and perfume on today too!
Also did a bit of 'mummy fabbing' in that DS and I had our first baking session together and had fun making flapjacks. They weren't perfect but it was great fun and not too difficult or messy.0 -
:j:j wow mooloo you look amazing! :j:jTaking responsibility one penny at a time!0

Hi everyone,
I'm feeling pretty positive again today and like I'm finally starting to get myself together. This past month has seen a massive change in me for various reasons. I think I was on the verge of depression for most of 2012. I didn't see the point in anything at all and it felt like I was living in a sort of fog and I lost all clarity over my life and what I wanted from it. Even day to day stuff I just couldn't deal with. I have always been a very upbeat person and I felt overwhelmed by all the things happening in my life and quite a few things happened that made me question my judgement/who I was. Because I'd always been so upbeat and able to handle anything as well, I lost myself for a while.
But I'm getting there. Bit by bit. Fabbing is a part of it, of course and it's nice to be working towards something positive. I feel like I'm starting to get myself back again.
PP - you should definitely do NNWM if you can. It's amazing how much fun it can be in a 'we're all in this together' sort of way, and just to see what you are capable of. I've done it the last 2 years, but only got to the magic 50,000 words last year. I'm really excited about doing it again this year, and I need to start planning for it sharpish! I will almost definitely be messaging you about writing at some point.
Mooloo - Hi and lovely photo! I also didn't see the 'before' but you and your daughter are both beautiful ladies.
Take care all xxNot buying any more 1.)books 2.)toiletries, esp. LUSH! 3.)stationery, unless absolutely necessary!0 -
Just a quickie.
Mooloo - you look lovely - truly Fab-u-lous
Sorry can't stay - wrenched my back so not going to make it worse by hunching over my lap top.
Managed to get to physio - so hopefully should be better tomorrow.
Carry on Fabbing.;)

Morning all,
Mooloo - you look absolutely fabulous :jwhat a fantastic transformation, and inspiring for the rest of us!
LL - hope the back is a bit better x
Cherry - I'm leaning towards doing Nano, I saw a call out that I fancy submitting to that would tie really well in with it. It's a first chapter to be submitted by 26th of this month - so I'm thinking could plan out, do the first chapter and then blitz the rest for Nano. Will decide by weekend - got what's hopefully my last round of edits in last night on xmas story so won't have that to worry about, though am still waiting to hear back on another one (STILL!!! Am getting a wee bit antsy now!) I'm just a little worried that OH has his dissertation on and think he's going to need a lot of help with that.
Anyway, didn't do much last night. Been a bit tired this week, not sure what's up with me but definately not at the normal energy levels! Did a bit with OH on his dissertation, then started a plan for my new story and did the first 1k words. It's for a suspense call out, so slightly out of my normal comfort zone, but hopefully that may be a good thing!
Hope everyone else is having a good day x0 -
:T:T:TWow Mooloo you look fantastic. Well done on your transformation!!:T:T:T
I am on the last day of my holiday and am thinking about my fabbing goals tonight. It is very likely that the half stone I took off is now back on - oh well time to start again.
Goals are:
1. Lose half a stone over the next month and then keep up the momentum to lose a stone.
2. Treat myself to a fitness DVD for nights when I can't get out. Any reccommendations anyone? I though about the Slim in 6 one I keep seeing on the teleshopping in the mornings from Beach Body. About my level I think and not too high impact.
3. Aim to follow a morning and evening routine which inculdes fabbing.
4. Start my supply teaching and keep an eye out for permenanbt jobs and apply for them. I am hoping my PVG for my supply work is through by the time I get home.
5. Regular massage/physio for my neck and shoulder as going too long betwwen treatments is causing severe pain.0 -
Morning all,
It's been a bit quiet over the last few days - hope you're all getting on okay.
I've been doing the Paul McKenna new way of eating thing for 2 weeks now so I'm officially allowed to weigh myself (not weighing myself every day has been the hardest thing about the whole experience!:rotfl:) Anyway, I've lost 7 pounds! :j I'm more excited though about feeling relaxed about food and not having to stress about whether or not to eat something.
This week I've also started a new skincare routine for my face - is anyone else here doing the oil cleansing method? I just got tired of not really knowing what I was putting on my skin and this way seems much more natural.
PP - This might be a really silly question, but how do call outs work? Sounds like you are doing lots of different projects - that's so much fun (until you have to wait back)! How long does your OH have to complete his dissertation?
Have a fantastic day all and congratulations on making it to Friday  xxNot buying any more 1.)books 2.)toiletries, esp. LUSH! 3.)stationery, unless absolutely necessary!0 -
Morning girls....I'm just bursting, and as I haven't anyone in RL to tell, I'm telling you.....
I'VE JUST BECOME A GRANDMOTHER :j:j:j to a little girl, Isla, born yesterday morning at 10.52am in New Zealand!!!!
Sad that she's so far away, but thank goodness for Skype!!! :T
So, this news has FABBED me up no-end!! :j What a great email to start the day with, which included 3 pix of her at an hour old, breast feeding in her mummy's arms........ I'm over the moon!!
Have a great day all!

hello all
Hoping you don't mind another newcomer. Well...not totally new I on a previous thread and updating fell by the wayside with getting married in June, honeymoon, work and being ill.
Since I last updated I've joined a gym and have a PT once a week. I'm absolutely loving it and the weight loss is going well tooI even went to the gym 5 or 6 times on my 2 week honeymoon in September - never thought I would be that person haha
I'm in the process of clearing all the guff out of my wardrobe so I can get stuff that actually fits or suits me although I'm not going overboard as I still want to lose a decent amount of weight.
Lets see what else...oh just bought the Paul McKenna making you thin book so waiting on that to arrive...wearing makeup and perfume every day plus now my hair is getting longer and getting rid of the layers I can put it up more and it's looking good if I do say so myselfcarpe diem

Morning all,
allie - hope you've had a fab holiday, some good goals - I may need to join you on 1-3, need a bit of motivation at the moment. My scales aren't working so I don't know if I've gained back but haven't stuck to anything very well so I'm guessing so
Sky - that is wonderful news, congratulations :j:jreally pretty name as well. It is a shame she's so far away but like you said there's Skype - and a good excuse to start planning a holiday?
Cherry - that's fantastic on the weight loss :T I may need to try that. I think I may have started it at some point but am hopeless at sticking with thingsCallouts are usually where the publisher will ask for certain submissions, eg Christmas stories, Valentine theme, vampire stories for a Halloween book etc. It's mainly smaller publishers I'm subbing to at the moment, which is good because they take shorter lengths and have quite a fast turnaround time. (I'm complaining on waiting to hear back on this sub because it's been about 3 weeks, but a lot of the bigger pubs can take 6-8 MONTHS!) I am quite bad with callouts as I'll be working on my own ideas or the novel and then I'll get distracted by seeing one, another idea will pop into my head and I'm off again
This one is a 'fast track' for a very big publisher where they give you a response on a first chapter/synposis submission within a month - quite rare they do this so although it's slightly different to my normal style then am going to give it a go. OH's dissertion has to be in towards the end of December but he needs to be showing progress to his tutors up until then (if it was up to me then would probably just do in the last 2 weeks or something :rotfl:) I don't mind helping him out on it, but he seems to think that because I can easily write a few thousand words on a story in an evening then it's equally easy to do the same with a research essay. I kept telling him that fiction just pops out of my head - this actually has to be backed up with some facts :rotfl:Ah well, I'm sure we'll get there.
Got a bit more done on the new story last night, about 2.5k now. Well, between catching up on some housework and trying to tempt the cat with treats - she's been off her food a bit the last few days so was giving her small amounts every few hours and she does seem to have managed a bit. Will see how she gets on today, hopefully she's just been a bit under the weather and I won't need to take her to the vets. OH is out doing a shoot for a charity concert tonight so will be in on my own, hopefully means I can get some work done but we'll see
Edited - welcome back Bratz :j how did the wedding go? Sounds like you've made some fab progress in the meantime x0
