Testing your bb interent connection

I tested my connection just now on 2 sites and results are

thinkbroadband

Speed Down 2024.10 Kbp ( 2 Mbps )
Speed Up 232.11 Kbps ( 0.2 Mbps )


http://www.speedtest.bbmax.co.uk/

upload 244 kbps
download 2069 kbps

would i be right in thinking upload is sending data over the net and download is downloading stuff right

    Yes exactly right. Upload speed always tend to be much lower than download speed.

    Well they seem very reasonable (as long as you're paying for a 2Mib/s connection, not more).

    Very true. Incidentally apparently BT will now be withdrawing all their ISDN services because of the growth in ADSL and Cable broadband.
