3 or 4 weeks and one viewing (friend of a friend!!)

still very early days yet then, somepeople have had theis on fora 6 months with one viewing, so i would not worry too much at the moment
  • Nicely presented property. Only a few thoughts:

    - low garden wall in picture 2 - garden is overlooked, pic 12 is much better

    - lights are on in the interior photo's, could they be redone on a brighter day so the house doesn't appear dark inside

    - as others have said something appears to have gone awry with the floorplan

    - is that a stain on the wall in photo 5? In any case, again as others have said a picture on the wall would be an improvement

    GL with your sale.
It is a good idea to be alone in a garden at dawn or dark so that all its shy presences may haunt you and possess you in a reverie of suspended thought.

  • It was quite a sunny day when the pics were taken, the guy just switched all the lights on! The 'stain' is actually the shadow of the light. Maybe I could get them to switch the lounge and garden photos for the later ones.
  • I can not believe that your house has not sold. I just boughta house for just under double that price and its about half the size!!

I think if your home was in London it would have sold already!

I am sure the OP would gladly accept double the price, which would still be a bargain in your eyes, huh..... this is newcastle, not london.
  • Price, if you are more expensive people are going to rule you out as one of those deluded vendors who want top dollar for houses they brought at the height of the market.

A niggle point for me would be you look very overlooked from the back (prehaps a higher fence?).

Any chance they are picking up on the fact you are not sure you want to sell?

3 or 4 weeks is no time at all.

Maybe there's just nobody looking to buy in your area right now?
  • how close are you to the metro line /metro station? Could that be putting people off? (nice house btw!)

  • We're not far, you can hear it, but not too badly. We're near the end of the cul de sac so no passing traffic, which means the odd metro going past isn't an issue for us (and also means you can be in the city centre in 20 mins).

I hadn't really thought about the garden being overlooked, their old peoples bungalows, so we only see the old lady every now and again when she hangs her washing out!

Thank you for all the positives, I read several threads before I put it on the market for advice!
