Natwest Advantage Gold Account

It's disappointing indeed. Very poor way of going about things in my opinion, wether it is in the interest of the bank or not. I'll try with another bank I guess.Who are you to judge the life I live? Don't see why they couldn't just let it go as I had asked for any credit on the account. I know this version of the account isn't credit restricted either way but surely they assess you when you ask for credit anyway....seems a waste of their own time aswell as mine?Who are you to judge the life I live? Why do everyone with a dodgy credit history moan when the bank does further checks to see if its the type of customer they want then when they get turned down they sound surprised.
Good old Natwest IMO sniff out the dead wood.0 -
Opened an RBS account the other day. Gold with £250 interest free OD even though I told them I never use it. Still... since it's interest free, I didn't really care.
Will let you know how it goes

Lol
True, everyone is entitled to a basic bank account but i've read on here that a few people have even been turned down for one of those.
At the height of my debts, even I couldn't get a basic bank account, I nearly started to use ThinkBanking until I got my Nationwide cash account, which served it's purpose, and saved me paying ThinkBanking 20 odd quid a month for nothing.
I really do feel for those who are unable to get a bank account, it's totally !!!!!!s everything up.0 -

Bugsy, fair point but why do it after receiving all your details, online banking, debit card and pin? Its a joke. It's really bad practice imo. If they can approve everything until the AVU what is SO bad that they have to close it once opened, I just don't get it.Who are you to judge the life I live? Just received my debit card today (only my debit card) hmm.

Guessing it's an offline card with cheque guarantee. Please correct me if I'm wrong though.
Thanks.0 -
