Vodafone Mast Down since 2nd Sept - Still no service - Cancel contract under SOGA?

Why should they let them exit free of charge? The issue was caused by something out of Vodafone's control.
Yeah, I've got to go and give blood now. I'll leave you all in your dreamworld.0

Maybe so Gordon well done for spotting the Elephant in the roomGordon_Hose wrote: »Spend hundreds of thousands relocationg a mast for a handful of customers because a tree is a foot taller that it should be?
Quality! That's a good one. Cheered me right up that did :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: ...however the fact remains the service is no longer being provided even though it could be fixed at a cost.....Like I said the problem is not the OP's concern and I don't see what Vodafone could do other than release the customer from the contract. The service is being provided, it just so happens that the land owner won't let Vodafone do anything about it.
Personally I hope Voda destroy the OP's credit file. But that's just me.0

By the same reasoning Gordon why should the OP still pay for a service he is no longer getting ????Gordon_Hose wrote: »Why should they let them exit free of charge? The issue was caused by something out of Vodafone's control.
It's not within the OP's control other than to seek an alternative .
You don't keep a contract with the Newsagent when you don't get the papers delivered ...or maybe you would It's not just about the money0 It's not just about the money0

The service isn't being provided though is it Gordon because the signal does not get through .......theres no point in having a water supply if it's turned off in the street and you can't use itGordon_Hose wrote: »The service is being provided, it just so happens that the land owner won't let Vodafone do anything about it.

Have you bothered to read earlier posts in this thread before making such an incorrect comment? Despite surveying the area, Vodafone sited the mast where, predictably, it would later be obscured by growing trees. They also chose to connect the mast to the network over the air rather than by cable. Therefore this is entirely within Vodafone's control.Gordon_Hose wrote: »The issue was caused by something out of Vodafone's control.0

Whilst this may be the case you've no idea what other options were viable at the time the mast was installed.
It may be that the same tree owner objected to cabling and there was no other viable option at the time the mast was installed. It may have been the cost was a lot more to cable and the tree owner was fine when the mast went in but has since changed their stance.
The options may have been mast connected over the air or no mast and no coverage in that area at all.0

Fully agree ...however it makes no difference unless it was pointed out to the OP that the service available may only be on a temporary basis at the time the contract was taken out.Whilst this may be the case you've no idea what other options were viable at the time the mast was installed.
The reasons behind the signal failure are of no importance unless a firm date could be given to restore service as usual that was acceptable to the customer. It's not just about the money0
