Did you get it sorted out ok in the end?

Yeah eventually mate. But what a pallarva! I had to phone them numerous times and they sent me a form to fill in asking for details of my dental practitioner / general practitioner. A week or two later, I got an email asking for my bank details and the money eventually came back.

The offer is now over, but just a word of warning, if they have money back guarantees on electric toothbrushes or electrical beauty equipment, please DO NOT bother.

Presumably it costs quite a bit to post 2 Listerine caps back?

They only ask for one cap and they are promising to pay postage, but it cost me £2.20.

Whoa, no I haven't heard of that! Haven't sent my Listerine claim off yet. Wonder why they're asking for this... Did you sent everything else off, like the cap etc?

Dormouse i smashed the cap with a hammer and put it in a little bag then posted it with a large letter stamp.

I dont know why they need details of my medical practitioner, i think because I said the listrine didnt work they must think there must be something wrong with me.:o
  • Ye smashed it with a wha?
I bought 2x500ml, sent off 2 (unflattened) caps in a packet, cost me €2.70
Listerine clearly state they'll refund the postage so I don't mind.
If they ask me for the name of my dentist/doctor, I'll throw the DataProtectionAct at them.
  • Wow, I haven't done this yet, but plan to. Thought it would be costly to send, but £2.70 for postage, wow!! Wonder if they've reckoned with that, you'd have thought that they'd have settled for just the till receipt and maybe the barcode if it could be soaked or cut off. But requesting gp's details, that's a step too far. Has anyone else done this/had similar/received refund yet? Can imagine that this is going to make interesting reading! How long did it take to recive your form, Katiedog, and have you done anything about it yet?

Yep, I have got one of these today. It is an Adverse Reaction Form, which they are asking me to ask my dentist to fill. I can't believe their cheek to be honest. I never said I had an adverse reaction. The reason I gave for not continuing to use it is because it contains alcohol. I have written back to them, but I am not happy about it.

Whats wrong with them trying to find out if you are 'honest,'unlike those who are out to make a fast buck.On the label it says contains alcoho so thats not even a valid reasonl for sending back.

I think it's wrong that there was no mention of the completion of an adverse reaction form by a dentist in their terms and conditions. Imho if someone has fulfilled the stated terms and conditions then I think Listerine should honour the offer and not change the goalposts.
