Okay, final post of continuing abundance before I finally get out of my bed (TYO positively forced me into staying in bed for longer....)
Anyway, with added thanks to TYO, I visited the freebie board and have registered my details to receive a sample pack of porridge.

January is turning out to be a plentiful month:D

    Enjoy the stripping Natty :j.

PS Mr GG thinks you are very funny :D.

    Thanks NP :)

I'm still not sure on the diary front. I have such a long way to go that I will probably be here for 20 years - long after everyone else has gone (and assuming the forum is still here!). As it would be very slow progress - I think I would feel a bit of a fraud. :o Does that sound silly?
Also, didn't want to start at new year and fade away - if I did start one I would prob do so at another point in the year.
I do find it inspiring to be around here though - and I know that I'm learning so much from you all. ;)
    Hope you don't mind me semi-lurking ...

I absolutely promise you that I will be here for the long haul BW (and from reading other's diaries - there's quite a few of us;) as you know, my diary is 99% drivel, with the odd 1% having :money: inserts). Everyone is so nice though that they don't seem to mind (and I think that anyone who would rather not read my drivel, would just quickly - and quite rightly - move on). Please, please don't lurk as your contributions are very valuable:)

Indeed there are other long-haulers about. Just look at my sig! Do join us and have a diary, BookWorm. :)

Please tell Mr GG that I am very flattered:D

I am STILL stripping, although am now on an official break. Who the frig paints layer upon layer of paint on a beautiful wooden door?! Still at least I am through to the wood on 2 panels, with the other 2 panels blistering away;)
I have also had an alcoholic beverage during dryjanuary:eek: although just a wee one. I decided to have a bitter lemon with ice, then thought wait a minute, that Chambord will surely go off by tomorrow, so being the classy bird that I am, I am having a champagne flute of bitter lemon and Chambord with cocktail cherries on ice:)

It is genuinely lovely lula, and I will definitely have this 'cocktail' as part of my drink repertoire;) The cocktail cherries are a bit del-boy, but very tasty all the same.

Would you like to hear all about my future house plans?

That sounds like a good idea kirsty:D I am trying to be all grown up this year and try and eat real porridge (as opposed to the kiddie version I normally have:p)

I don't mind porridge but do he fed up with it every now and then

I'm picturing you with a champagne flute of chambord, cherries and an umbrella in one hand and paint stripper in the other ... It makes a good picture :)
