Blimey, it seems that children really do get much more expensive as they get older Natty....... A toy here and there doesn't really compare to Jack Wills which I believe costs a small fortune?

Yep lula - I woke up this morning to the financial hangover of 'order confirmation' emails....YIKES! It definitely gets worse as they get older, and toys would be easier;-

I honestly don't spend that much on the kids (never have - and especially in comparison to many of my friends/colleagues), however I do have a limitation budget and as soon as this is reached then the spending stops.

Today is so lovely and bright - gorgeous blue skies, but cold as anything so off to make some soup........

Lucky you - its dark and pouring down here. Lights and heating are both on along with candles..... definitely a jammie day here. Just finished cleaning the house, so now I can put my feet up!

I still have house to clean:(...and dreaded grocery shopping for packed lunch stuff:(.....and washing to take out of machine in f-r-e-e-z-i-n-g cold ulility room:(......and ironing also in f-r-e-e-z-i-n-g cold utility room:(

I pulled some leeks and carrots out of veg patch to make soup as this morning my diet has consisted of granola, 2 X coffee and 1 X cake so I need to balance out with veg:o

Right - soup on, washing out of machine and hung up and kitchen surfaces cleaned. Back in 20 minutes or so:D

As the newly appointed housework guru, I am watching you :rotfl:

I need to pop to Tesco for some cakes, just my shoes to polish after that. Well, I also need to try and figure out how a fishkeeping gadget works, but that's borderline fun compared to my exertions yesterday.

Well edinburgher, that was a good 35 minutes (or so) of housework/soup making. I am on my official break until 1pm - so diary catch-up before next session.

I must say though, how disappointed I am with you....what's with the buying of cakes??? Tut tut. Get into that kitchen young man and start baking:p

Ah mid-way break called for. It's hard work all that sweeping, hoovering up sweep, mopping, filling, emptying and re-filling of bucket you know (see what I did there.....cleverly adding all the extra steps to make it seem like I'm doing so much more;))

    Diary break until 2.10pm:D
